New Ford 3S Centre opens in Sibu, Sarawak
Ford customers in Sibu, current and potential, will now have a newly opened Ford 3S centre to cater to their needs with the official opening of Sibu Ngu Brothers Motor Service Sdn Bhd’s outlet in Jalan Lanang recently.
Present at the opening ceremony was Managing Director of Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd (SDAC), official distributor of Ford in Malaysia, En Hazem Abd Rahman, along with senior management of Sibu Ngu Brothers, notably Managing Director Mr Peter Ngu, and General Manager Mr Jeffrey Ngu.
“We are encouraged by their confidence in the Ford brand and this is evident through their investment in the facility,” Mohd Hazem said of Sibu Ngu Brothers, who boasts some 32 years’ worth of experience in automotive sales and service in the Sibu market. Sibu Ngu plans to expand its presence later this year with the opening of a similar facility in Bintulu.
In conjunction with the branch’s launch, SDAC also took the opportunity to conduct an East Malaysian launch for the Ford Ranger XL 4×2 Low Rider, priced at RM66,000 in East Malaysia. Powering the Ranger XL 4×2 is a 2.5-litre indirect injection turbodiesel engine capable of making 109hp and 257Nm.
Looking forward, SDAC continues to see East Malaysia as a high-volume market for pick-up trucks, and will supply that market with more such vehicles. Sharing of resources and consolidation of back-end operations also makes it feasible for SDAC to offer the niche markets under its stable – Alfa Romeo and Land Rover – alongside Ford models.
