Renault Koleos 4 x 4 Unveiled by TC Euro Cars
Putrajaya, 10 March 2010 – TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the franchise distributor for Renault vehicles, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings launched the Renault Koleos today to the media in a very colourful ceremony, as you can glean from the pictures taken during the event.
The Koleos is yet another model added to the Renault line up here – it boasts of genuine off-road capabilities, but comes with the comfort of a saloon, and expansive cabin space. The people at Renault call it a cross-over vehicle, but I would rather see it s a SUV.
The Koleos is a result of the Renault-Nissan alliance – combining the superior ride and comfort from Renault engineering, and drive train technology from the well-proven Nissan stables. The Koleos comes with a 2.5 litre Nissan engine producing 170 hp at 6,000 rpm, and 226 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. Transmission is a CVT. Fuel consumption is rated at 9.5 litres per 100 km on a combined cycle.
As with most of the Renault models, the Koleos enjoys a 5- star Euro BCAP safety rating, one of 12 models in the Renault range to achieve this standard to date.
Retail price is around RM213+k, and after the public launch, scheduled for tomorrow, the Koleos shall be in Renault showrooms.
