Continental expands presence to East Malaysia
A new BestDrive Continental Passenger Car & Light Truck (PLT) Centre has just been opened in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, yesterday. The centre, a product of a partnership between Bintang Ramai Sdn Bhd and Continental Sime Tyre (CST) Sdn Bhd, is the first Continental BestDrive centre in East Malaysia.
Officiating the launch of the new centre yesterday was Mr Benoit Henry, Chief Executive Officer of CST. At the launch, Henry spoke about how Continental aims to position itself as a top tyre brand, and how the BestDrive shop concept, layout and equipment are set-up to ensure that the customers receive premium service.
He further added that in these times of economic turmoil, it is of the highest importance to be equipped with the best tools available in the markets. “This is exactly what we are aiming to do with our dealers and all the development programs we are running. With BestDrive you will be Best Equipped in all senses of the word.”
“We have now completed a total of 16 BestDrive Continental PLT centres throughout Malaysia, with this being the first for East Malaysia,” said Henry.
Selling the Dunlop and Sime Tyre brands alongside the Continental tyres, Bintang Ramai’s latest BestDrive centre caters for passenger car and light truck owners looking for premium tyres, with a wide range of services – alignment, balancing, nitrogen gas, and tyre-repair – performed by specially trained personnel with state of the art equipment (ed: So they claim.).
