Kuala Lumpur, 21 August 2008 – Brooklands Motors Sdn Bhd, the sole importer and distributor of Citroen officially unveiled the luxury Citron C6 sedan and the Grand C4 Picasso at the Brooklands Centre in Chan Sow Lin, Kuala Lumpur today. The ceremony was officiated by Dato’ Jacob Dungau Sagan, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia.

This auspicious occasion marks the return of Citroen vehicles in Malaysia, after a period of relative inactivity, although the Brooklands group has been providing much needed service and parts to existing Citroen owners in the country.

Muhammad Fadhil Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer and Director of BMSB said, “The C6 that has been inspired by the great Citroen cars of the past such as the DS, the SM, the CX and the XM is so authentically Citroen with new innovative technologies that have helped the marquee to establish a strong heritage in the luxury sedan market.”

The C6 is the first car to combine hydraulic suspension with double wishbones at the front and a multi-link set up at the rear. Associated with an active suspension system featuring electronically controlled springing and damping, the running gear of the C6 effectively soaks up bumps and dips in the road surface, promising a very comfortable ride to its occupants.

The interior fittings are top grade, with leather seats, and luxurious trim. Citroen has always been known for providing exceptional ride comfort, and from what I can see of the new C6, buyers of this car are not likely to be disappointed in that area.

With a 3.0 litre V6 engine developing 215 BHP at 6,000 rpm, and 290 Nm of torque, the C6 has all the makings of a top-notch executive car. Retail price is RM398,000, and it comes with a 2-year or 100,000 km warranty.

The Grand C4 Picasso is a 7-seater MPV, but looks very stylish. Styling is very distinctive, and it has a host of features that will make traveling by MPV a very comfortable experience. A five star NCA safety rating makes the C4 one of the safest vehicles on the road. All round visibility is excellent, thanks to generous use of glass, and the driver sits high for a panoramic view of the surrounding areas. Priced at RM168,000, the Grand C4 Picasso offers a great package that includes a 2.0 litre engine that develops 143 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 200Nm. Variable valve timing is standard, and drive is to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
