Sapura Opens 4S MINI Showroom in Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur, 31 July 2008 – Sapura Auto Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sapura Resources Berhad and BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd today opened a new MINI 4S (Sales, Service, System and Spare parts) centre. The new MINI showroom becomes the first 4S MINI outlet in the Klang Valley.
Since its inception, BMW Malaysia has seen the MINI brand grow from strength to strength. On a global basis, the iconic MINI has been a runaway success for the BMW Group since it’s global launch in 2001 surpassing typical industry vehicle cycles, showing continued upward growth six years into production.
Geoff Briscoe, Managing Director of BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd, said, “The launch of the new MINI 4S Centre in Sapura Auto is a testament of the MINI brand’s growth potential in Malaysia and also reflects the confidence we have in Sapura Auto. Over the last 5 years, the MINI has seen a compounded growth of 134.2% while Sapura Auto has established itself as an important part of the BMW network with a strong presence in Klang Valley”.
The new MINI facility encompasses an entire one and a half floor’s of Sapura Auto’s current 60,000 sq ft, four-storey BMW 4S centre in Jalan Tun Razak.

The concept and architecture of the facility reflects the essence of the MINI brand and complies with its stringent international-class specifications. Apart from the showroom, the new MINI Sapura has a special events corner, lifestyle and accessories display area, a designated counter to purchase parts and accessories and a capacity to display six cars with furnished communication panels at one time.
The launch of the MINI Sapura is part of BMW Malaysia’s strategy of organically expanding its dealership network which will allow the MINI’s growing customer base more choice and convenience.
Launched in 2006, Sapura Auto was the first new dealership after BMW Malaysia began operations in 2003. Sapura Auto is part of the Sapura Group, a 100% Malaysian-owned technology-based organization involved in diversified industries such as energy, education and premium auto retail.

The new MINI Sapura 4S Centre will carry all MINI models including MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S and the recently launched MINI Cooper Clubman and MINI Cooper Clubman S.
