New Chevrolet 3S Center Opens in Klang
Kuala Lumpur, 24 June 2008 – A new Chevrolet dealer, Kumpulan Syarikat Pantai Bharu Sdn Bhd, today officially opened its new Chevrolet showroom and 3S center in Klang, Selangor, bringing a total of five 3S Chevrolet centers across Malaysia, with the sixth one soon to be opened in Bangi. By end 2008, HICOM-Chevrolet has targeted at least 15 3S Centers across the country, following a customer-focused program to provide service and convenience to customers all under one roof.
The launch was officiated by YB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Minister of International Trade & Industry, YBhg Dato’ Shamshudin Haji Nor, President, Pantai Bharu Holdings Sdn Bhd and Ms Yukontorn Wisadkosin, Chief Executive Officer, HICOM-Chevrolet Sdn Bhd.
Speaking at the launch, Ms Yukontorn Wisadkosin, said that the launch marked a significant moment for the Chevrolet brand in Malaysia. She said, “Today’s launch marks the fifth Chevrolet 3S center in Malaysia, clearly demonstrating Chevrolet’s commitment and promise of convenience to our customers.
“Our new mantra, “Chevrolution” is emphasized and carried through in all that we do, and it is focused on the buyer. We promise to bring nothing but the renowned Chevrolet quality and value. At any one of our 3S Dealerships, Chevrolet customers can expect quality service at every step of the way, from sales to service and spare parts – all under one roof. Indeed, all our service Centers will be nothing less than a 3S Center”, said Ms Wisadkosin.
This new Chevrolet 3S center in Klang adds to the list of 3S centers currently in operation at the following locations – Petaling Jaya – a Chevrolet 3S flagship center, Penang, Johor Bharu and Melaka.
“Chevrolet cars are renowned throughout the world for its world-class quality and value. At Pantai Bharu we are proud to be associated with a global brand and are committed to deliver on its brand promise of quality and value at our 3S center here in Klang”, said YBhg Dato’ Shamshudin.
“Ensuring sales, excellent pre and after sales service and commitment to our customers is key to strengthening the Chevrolet brand in Malaysia. To this end we are confident that Pantai Bharu is an able partner in meeting these objectives”, said Ms Wisadkosin.
HICOM-Chevrolet provides specialized training to all service staff at Pantai Bharu as well as all other dealerships, to ensure that every customer receives quality service from trained personnel.
Further to the launch, Ms Wisadkosin also announced that in a few weeks time Chevrolet spare parts prices would be reduced to effect even better value for Chevrolet cars. Spare parts prices will be reduced from 20% to as much as 60%.
The launch of the latest Chevrolet 3S center comes after the launch of three new Chevrolet models – the Aveo, Optra Magnum and Optra Magnum Estate. These enhanced Chevrolet models are promises of excitingly improved driving experience with updated contemporary looks.
The Aveo is powered by a 1.4L DOHC gasoline engine. The stylish sedan, Optra Magnum is also available with a sporty aero kit; buyers have a choice of either the 1.6L or 1.8L DOHC in-line 4-cylinder 16-valve engines. The Optra is also available in station wagon form as the Magnum Estate with a 1.6L engine for family types.
