R35 GT-R SUV concept
The new R35 GT-R has created waves of awe the world over. While fans across the globe are still dreaming of seeing the vehicle in flesh; a fresh new development has just been leaked. We are shocked to see a picture of the R35 GT-R in the form of an SUV very much like the Porsche Cayenne concept. A high powered performance SUV to cater to those who can’t decide to get a proper sports car or to get an SUV to ferry the kids around comfortably.
Imagining a SUV with a 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 engine producing 473hp barrelling down the North-South Highway send shivers down my spine. If Nissan decides to go ahead with the project, do you think this totally kills the GT-R personality?

they should name and code it differently, the GT-R will always be the symbol of the humble skyline
Kills GT-R personality? I think not.
The SUV version would cater for a different market.
That will give the Cayenne a run for its money. Seriously mean looking machine.
Lvin, with the new R35 GT-R, the “Skyline” word now remains the legend of the past. Pity indeed.
I hope Nissan stop using the “Skyline” word on the V series (V35 & V36). Going too extreme into the luxurious path.
Al, definitly the GT-R SUV will give the Cayanne a run for it’s money. If it materialises, it will run circles around the Cayenne like what the R35 did to the 911 turbo.
The latest GTR35 is tuned in a very conservative way as what Nissan always do. But i believe NISMO or some other company are looking into this piece of hot cake as it is now rank in the top ten sport car in the world… with lower HP but still manage to win porche 911…
TK Leong,
Sunline and Mines already unveiled aftermarket parts for the R35. Mines in particular have a host of parts such as ECU, air filter, titanium exhaust, coilovers, bigger rotors, etc…
Can’t wait for what goodies NISMO is going to announce.
