BMW Club Malaysia Hosts its Third Annual Dinner
Saturday, 24 November 2007, Kuala Lumpur – BMW Club Malaysia hosted its third annual dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe in Kuala Lumpur. The event was attended by active members of the BMW Club and their sponsors.
BMW Club Malaysia was formed in 2003 by a group of BMW enthusiasts to further enhance their ownership experience through the sharing of knowledge and experiences owing to the distinctiveness of the marque.
Since then, the Club has experienced phenomenal growth in membership to more than 3,000 members through an online interactive forum. It also has a strong and cordial collaborative relationship with BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd. The club was accorded “official” status in April 2004 by the BMW’s International Club Council in Germany. As of August this year the club took a step further to do a membership drive to make members of this club official. To date the club has a hundred official paid up members and the numbers will be growing making it the fastest growing official car club in Malaysia.
For the last 4 years, the Club has strengthened its presence and the bond of friendships between its members through a diversified and exciting range of events and activities that cater to members from all walks of life. This includes various motor sports events such as track days at Sepang International F1 Circuit, HPC Driving courses, road trips and holiday drives to various destinations in Malaysia, social events at hip eateries, restaurants and cafes and public social and charity events.
This is the third time the Club has organized its Annual Dinner. The theme for this year is “Retro In The Metro” where members and guests will be dressed up in their favorite retro outfit from the 70’s and the 80’s. Although all may not be costumed as their favorite character, singer or pop star or simple a sense of some retro fashion one things for sure it will be a night filled with fellowship and laughter. This event also features a display of some cars from BMW Malaysia’s stable!
The Club also had the pleasure of hosting friends from the corporate circle with the attendance of senior representative from BMW Malaysia, Sapura Auto, Auto Bavaria, corporate sponsors and members of the press and media.
