Racing for a Cure
The A1 Team Australian Race car will start this weekend’s A1GP at Sepang with the “Pink Ribbon” on the nose cone as they go “Racing for a Cure” for cancer. .
Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport will host in their main lobby the original race car for this weekend in the car’s new livery unveiled for the first time in Malaysia.
Together A1 Team Australia and the National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia have partnered a cause to help generate more awareness of Breast Cancer as they race around the globe. Breast Cancer is a disease that affects on average one in eight women in Australia alone
The A1 Team Seatholder Alan Jones, MBE admits “our partnership with National Breast Cancer and A1 Team Australia is now in motion as we go Racing for a Cure. The A1 Team Australia race car and pit garage have new livery never been seen before trackside and we are very happy to launch this with everyone”.
Invited guests in attendance shared the spirit of the A1GP with a special unique photo shoot in the formation of the Pink Ribbon around the race car inside the lobby of Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Accompanying the guests are the entire A1 Team Australia Pit Crew, both Drivers (Ian Dyk and John Martin) and Team Management.
The event concluded with a Press Conference in attendance the Australian High Commissioner Penny Williams, Trade Commissioner Garth Taylor, Alan Jones A1 Team Australia Seatholder, MAKNA General Manager Puan Farahida Mohd Farid, David Clare CEO A1 GP Asia Pacific and Hans Winsnes General Manager Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Light refreshments were served in the Palmz Lobby Lounge
The A1GP World Cup of Motorsport commences at Sepang Circuit from Friday 23rd through to Sunday 25th with 22 nations competing for the pride of their nation.
