Satria Neo Launched in Singapore
September 11, 2006 – Singaporean drivers can now enjoy the excellent driving dynamics of the Proton Satria Neo with its launch in the Singapore republic, and Proton is optimistic of its success, based on early reviews of Proton’s latest model there.
The Satria Neo was officially launched in a colorful and youthful ambience on 8 September 2006, which officially made Singapore the first overseas market to receive the sporty 3-door hatchback since it was first unveiled in June this year.
The Satria Neo is the successor to the national car manufacturer’s popular and award winning Satria model, and is expected to continue the outstanding performance and winning characteristics of its predecessor in Singapore.
The first version of the Satria Neo to cross over and capture the minds of the Singapore’s drivers will be the Satria Neo 1.6 Hi-Line, available in automatic and manual transmission.
The model is distributed and sold by Proton Singapore Pte Ltd (PS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Proton Edar Bhd.
“Apart from being very stylish, the Satria Neo is without doubt safer and handles a lot better than many other Asian cars currently available in this segment. It is certainly comparable with its competitors originated from other countries, thus we are confident that this new model will pave the way for Proton’s next generation of models to come,” said Moses Tan, Director of Proton Singapore.
