Jaguar Prices Go Down With NAP
Kuala Lumpur, 30 March 2006 – Despite prices of CBU cars going up as a result of the NAP, Jaguar prices have been revised downwards. Savings of up to RM280,000, depending on car model, can be expected as a result of the new National Automotive Policy (NAP).
Sisma’s Managing Director, Syed Hussain Syed Ibrahim said the new pricing was welcomed as it comes at a time when Sisma is planning to expand its sales and service points across the nation in an effort to capture more market share in Malaysia. Syed Hussain added that the prices of Jaguar and Daimler models are dropping solely due to the reduction in duties under the new tax structure.
Jaguar expects the reduction in prices will attract more buyers from the younger set. “We will introduce two long awaited new flagship models in 2006. They will be Jaguar’s new XK coupe and convertible, and the Daimler Super 8 luxury saloon” said Syed Hussain.
“With the launch of these two models and our increased competitiveness in pricing, we expect our sales to soar to new heights this year,” added Syed Hussain.
Sisma Auto anticipates the sale of at least 100 units of Jaguar and Daimler in 2006.
