The Sleek, Smart, and Smooth Chevrolet Optra Sedan Now Comes With a Luxurious New Front Grill
Kuala Lumpur – The Chevrolet Optra, General Motor’s global standard compact sedan, has a significant facelift not only designed to look sharp – it’s designed to make you look sharp.
The apparent aesthetic change to the Chevrolet Optra is its aggressive nose, which now sports a broadened one-piece grill, which is in line with Chevrolet’s international styling cues. The luxurious new chrome-finished front grill features the Chevrolet ‘Bow-tie’ emblem prominently on a single horizontal bar that sits above a sporty front bumper and fog lamps.
There’s no squeezing required in the Optra. There’s room for five adults and plenty of stuff. It offers innovative design features like shopping bag hooks, a front floor console, net pocket on passenger seats, armrest with cup holders, and a sun visor with a ticket holder. There’s also a tilt-adjustable steering column, trunk space of 405 L, and a 60-40 split-folding rear seatback conveniently stores bulky items, such as a mountain bike or golf bag.
Safety is ensured through a driver-side and passenger air bags, ABS disk brakes with EBD – Electronic brake-distribution system and traction control (1.8-Litre model).

The 1.6-Litre Sedan E-Tec II 4-cylinder engine generates 107 horsepower, whilst the 1.8-Litre Sedan D-Tec engine provides 121 horsepower, delivering increased performance and lower fuel consumption.
The Optra Sedan feature the unique Euro-Ride Tuning Suspension shock-absorbing system, which is specially designed to accommodate load distribution for any road condition, and 15-inch alloy wheels for enhanced grip on the road.
The Chevrolet Optra Sedan is available in two model variances (on-the-road without insurance): the 1.6-litre AT priced at RM88,888 and 1.8-litre AT at RM99,999. The new facelifted Optra Sedan will be available for viewing from 1st August 2005 at all authorized Chevrolet dealerships nationwide.
