Touareg V10 Sets a New Tempo in SUV s
Kuala Lumpur, 8 July 2005 – The arrival of the Volkswagen Touareg V10 sets a new tempo for the SUV market in Malaysia. With a 5-litre V10 Common-rail diesel, the Touareg is the latest model to be presented to the motoring media by Amazing Tempo Sdn Bhd, the importers and distributors of Wald in Malaysia, at an exclusive preview today at the Amazing Tempo headquarters in Chan Sow Lin.
This is the first shipment of a limited number of units, arriving straight from the port and wheeled into the showroom just before the preview.
Jerry Tan, CEO of Amazing Tempo commented, “All it takes to convince anyone of the superiority of the Volkswagen Touareg V10 is to drive it, even for just 5 minutes! After which you will realize what a complete package of power, space, luxury and pace it possesses, which will leave you in awe.”
In fact Jerry Tan was so impressed by the Volkswagen Touareg V10 that he was moved to further comment, “When you have a vehicle that weighs 2.5 tonnes, and yet is capable of sprinting to 100 kmh as fast as most sports cars, has enough torque t osatisfy even the most power hungry of drivers, not to mention the comfort levels of the best top level saloons plus excellent load carrying capabilities…what more could you ask for in an SUV?”
We can quite understand his overwhelming enthusiasm, because the Touareg is big, and we mean really big as SUVs go, but it is as nimble as a sports car, and many times more menacing. However, the ride promises to be excellent, as is the road-holding capabilities, due to traction and stability controls and an air suspension for both front and rear suspensions.
The interior is top of the heap, with soothing soft leathers and creature comforts second to none. We hope we don’t have too long to wait before getting to test one.
