Buy One Audi, Get One More Free
Last year, a number of expensive cars were offered as top prizes in various contests but the most exotic and desirable was undoubtedly the RM320,000 Audi TT Coupe offered by Auto Dunia.
The Audi/VW distributor ran a contest for buyers of its Audi A4, A6 and TT Quattro models between November 15 2001 and February 28 2002, during which time some 58 entries were received. The participants had to do something very simple: write out the AUDI name in the most creative manner, and answer two simple questions.
Judging took place earlier this week and AUTOWORLD.COM.MY’s Chips Yap was invited to be on the panel of judges which was led by a representative from Auto Dunia’s advertising agency. After considering the various entries and allocating points to each one, the creativity of Juan Carlos Fernandez of Kuala Lumpur scored the highest points.
According to Ronald Ng, Auto Dunia’s Head of the Audi division, Mr Fernandez had bought an Audi A6 2.4 last year. Mr Ng told AUTOWORLD.COM.MY that the delighted winner plans to keep the TT Coupe (he’ll still have to pay the insurance premium for it!).
This certainly was one of the best ‘Buy 1, Get 1 Free’ campaigns!
