Auto Dunia to display Audi TT Roadster at KLIMS
The provocative Audi TT Roadster will make its official Malaysian debut at the KL International Motorshow this month. Announcing this, Auto Dunia, importers and distributors of Audi cars for Malaysia, said that the car will be among three models that will be on its stand at the Tun Razak Hall 3 (level 3) of the Putra World Trade Centre which is the motorshow venue.
The other two cars – the Audi A4 1.8 T Avant and the Audi A6 2.4 – will be displayed with the theme of ‘Passion’. The Audi stand will feature an elegant wood and aluminium structure which is being specially brought in from Germany.
The Audi TT Roadster is the topless counterpart of the Audi TT Coupe which was launched in Malaysia over a year ago. It has a quattro 4WD drivetrain for superior grip and directional stability, which enhances safety on every kind of road.
In this Audi can be seen a new chapter in open-top car safety. This begins with the two-rollover bars behind the seats, which are not only a striking design feature, but also an integral component of the body structure. Standard safety equipment comprises the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) including Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR).
The car has a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1.8 litres and five valves per cylinder . It produces 165 kW (225 bhp) with maximum boost pressure of 1.8 bar. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is claimed to be 6.9 seconds.
