EON Launches Magazine for Customers

Edaran Otomobil Nasional (EON) has launched a new monthly magazine for its customers as part of enhancing its customer relationship activities as a prelude to the more challenging environment when AFTA comes into being.

The magazine, known as eon&u, will initially be distributed free of charge to EON’s 11,000 customers who buy a new Proton each month as well as to the 39,000 customers who send their cars to EON service centres for maintenance or repairs eevery month.To date, EON has some 1.2 million customers since it began operations 15 years ago.

With a variety of articles ranging from motoring to entertainment, eon&u is intended to appeal to the wide spectrum of EON’s customers. There will also be promotional contests and special offers for readers.

“The magazine will focus on the three Es – education, enlightenment and entertainment,” said Datuk Adzmi Abdul Wahab, Managing Director of EON, who officially launched the magazine together with the company’s Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Saleh bin Sulong, at a restaurant in KLCC on September 12th 2000.

Subscriptions are also available at RM90 a year while individual copies will be sold at RM5.50 (RM7.50 in East Malaysia) per copy. Initially, the contents of eon&u will be available for viewing at EON’s website (www.eon.com.my).
