Went to Seri Kembangan SC today and opened up the LH rear trim panel
together with the mech. No foreign object found....looks normal.Anyway
what we found is the smell is coming from body main structure.Nil smell
from the ceiling.Need to troubleshoot further
While removing the trim found one bad job done by Proservis about 5
months ago. When I got my car...I made a complaint that 1 trim was
loose. And they did something and its seems secured.Just found out that
they used the windscreen black sealant to hold it(Bangsat sungguh). And the
sealant sticked to other area when I tried to remove the trim. They sticked
to about 4 area.removed them using petrol. Managed to secure the trim
correctly. This shows how bad is Proservis mechs. And this is why I dont
like sending my car to SC where I cannot see what they doing. I want to be
the QC of my own car.

4th visit to SC....for same prob.Today one technical guy(Fadzil-he's ok)
came from HQ. And my rear blower trim removed for the second time.Another
clip missing and this guy broke a plastic part of my 'C' trim.Wrongly
installed....he will do the warranty claim. Sprayed chemical liquid(
one used to clean engine compt) into lower body frame.Try to clear abit of
anti-rust grease.Suspected thats the cause of the odour.Right after
spraying...odour was gone but came back slowly after about 1/2 hour. This
tech guy(fadzil), asked to go to Proservis and do the degreasing again on
both side. We'll do it ourself.....not by the Proservice mechs.Dont trust
them anymore after what they did to my trim panel.Letih and
tension........lucky its a very nice car to drive , if
not ...............Pening!!!!!Sorry guys....nak release tension sikit.

kay es,
A thought came to me while thinking abt yr problem. Is it possible the
odor originiated near the compressor and may not come from the body at
all?

May u can try to select outside air rather than recycle air mode during
the air con in running. Try this for about 5 minutes and than switch back
to recycle mode.

Guys,
This odour only from rear aircond......so only recycle mode
avail.Compared to about 5 Nabiras, all of them are free of this odour
(Inside main frame). And the smell from rear aircond is the same smell from
the body frame. This rear blower is sucking air from the frame too.I've
been doing my own troubleshooting for the past 2 months. And the tech guy
also seems to agree with my explanation. What I'm confused is why my
nabira's body frame is smelly while others not.

Dear Kay es
Please contact HcMb, after sales service. tell them this problem and
which SC to go to rather than being bounced again. Please make sure you
speak to a Encik Hasbullah. Which tech guy are you referring to at the
moment?
