Bro, pics on your 'new' ASX
one of the chrome garnish has not been replaced. they ordered the wrong side....
one thing bad, the replacement bumper is thai made. apparently, due to the new CKD ASX, many non-mech parts are now made in thailand

Looks like you ASX is back as before. Amazing how the SC can get the wrong side for your garnish.
Last but not least .. any major difference between bumper made in Thai and Japan?

Your problem seems interesting. I wonder if it have something to do with bulb voltage? Are the bulbs the same voltage?

i not sure about the bulbs voltage..1st i use kind of cheap LED bought from lelong.com. because of the blink issue, i bought Philips LED which cost me hundred of ringgit and yet still same issue.
Yesterday i manage to meet my regular workshop's wireman, according to him is something to with voltage. coz the number of voltage send out to the bulb control by electronic board (maybe he mean ECU,which i not sure). so he said some minor modification or adding a resistor is needed in order to CHEAT the control board. he cant confirm until he inspected my car.
i will be sending to him on my next service due.
Hope by than i can update here.

Hello,
The vehicle electrical/electronic system are running with 12V.
The setting in the ETACS for Turn Signal Bulb is 21W + 21W + 5W. (21W is the turn signal lamp and the 5W is the LED turn signal on the side mirror)
If you change to LED then the load(current consumption) will be less than 21W and may cause problem to the monitoring electronics.
21W / 12V = 1.75A
10W(example LED from lelong.com) / 12V = 0.834A
You may add a resistor to bring the current to about 1.75A but becareful not to blow up the ETACS. It cost thousand Ringgit.

HI! You are back ...
Most welcome your technical explanation.
I don't really welcome the idea to add a resistor or change the T10 bulb. Anyway .. do you think it will work if the replacement LED is connected as Day Light Running Light as ASX have a fius panel for LED daylight running light. That won't confuse the ECU but just afraid the ECU will not function properly when they are unable the detect the T10 light.
They even have a manual on how to install DRL online:-

hi both,
great info here. thanks a lot.
but are the small light (on top of headlamp) having the same setting as LED turn signal on side mirror?
now make me worry to change number plate bulb to LED..

Hello,
Kindly ignore my post earlier. I was confused and mixed up the T10 with front turn signal bulb. The T10 bulb as mentioned by ahl is actually the Position Lamp. The original position lamp is a 5W lamp (W5W).
Base on the circuit diagram, the position lamp is in the group of Tail Light Control Circuit.
The position lamp Left is in the same circuit of License Plate Light + Rear Combination Light Left
The position lamp right is in the same circuit of Rear Combination Light Right + Glove box Light
ahl,
Is your Glove Box Light and Rear Combination Light Right working ok? Can you swap the polarity of the T10 LED and see what happen?
