Maintenance is quite standard. 6l engine oil and free labour for first 3 years at MI.

Brake pads are similar to Legacy GT and I have already ordered Endless brake pads. One full set (front and back) around RM500+ in total. Not too bad. Ori i think around 800+ for the whole set of 4.

There are quite a lot of Subie mechanics around. The one that I frequent already preparing for XVs to pop by in future. smile.gif

Main engine parts and CVT gear boxes of course expensive la, but they are covered by your warranty. But I never had any problems with engine/gear boxes even up to 100,000 km.

If you take care of the car well, it should be able to last a very long time.

Engine oil is 5.1 liter together with oil filter changed.

Bro Joker,

Can you share with me what is the maintenance like for this baby? And would there be any good mechanics/workshop out there that can service it when the warranty is over?? Spare parts wise, is it expensive? I really like this car but I still need to consider these concerns. Please advice.

Cheers,
AC

So, have you got your car?

Is there any best deal promotion going on with the Forester ?

I'm from Ipoh and too bad there's no Forester on display here, nor test drive.

Bro you mean engine oil temperature right?

If you push your car hard in an urban area without any long road to cruise, you can reach that temperature in this new FXT. This new DIT runs quite hot. But if you are just cruising or say caught in traffic, I do not expect it to go above 103 to 105 deg C in this car, based on my observation so far.

Also, what petrol you using? RON 95?

And during the run in period, it can also be warmer, which it was in my case.

But if you say normal style driving and you get that temp, then it will seem unusual to me.
