One can't generally categorised all GDI to be the same, just because older conti GDI having problem GDI doesn't mean the newer japs will face the same, Mitsu was having a lot of problem when their put GDI tech into their Lancer few years ago, so much so that their new Lancer going back to MPI tech, the technology later was sold to Hwontai, opps I mean "transfer" though tech sharing project with return of financial aid, somehow never heard of Hwontai GDI having problem like mitsu in country where it is available.
Technology advances through time, one can't carry the same mind set eternally, same go when ever there is GDI launching u odd to see people asking "must pump ron 97 fuel ah" unknown to them GDI can ever run on ron91 or aki87 fuel with Euro 4 compliance.
Anyway Velobster with 1.6 MPI is a let down, in cantonese would be "yao zhi sai mou sat cai" nuf said.

Unlike those day new car only come with 1 year warranty, nowsdays most car come with 5 years warranty, which mean by the time consumer start to sent their car to be repait in workshop under a cherry/coconut tree it would be half a decade, So these Bengkel Ah Yah/Ah Huat & etc. would only get their hand on technology which is half a decade old (at lease), in automotive industry half a decade is a long time, those recond car buyer may sent their car to be repair in these workshop by those car may not tuned according to our climate & fuel, unless we r talking about P1 & P2 car which the technology never move for decades, so i alway take advise from these so called "know it all/seen it all" workshop with a grain of ajinomoto. 059.gif

If is U r not assuming since most of this car launch late 2012 to 1st Q 2013, it would take at lease 18-24 months to reach 50,000km mileage, yet ur crystal ball already predict there would have carbon deposit, let me guest u already have "Snake Oil GDI Engine Carbon Cleaning Package" offer/ploy/scam ready for them ? smile_angry.gif

Come come don't be shy "hint" us where it the state of the art know it all workshop located. teu30.gif

So u r asking me to find a 2008 ron 92 fuel to pump into 2013 car ? Where can I get this vintage collect fuel in the market ? Do ur fuel cellar got a couple bottle ?
Wow local made ron 91 collection also u got ?? Must worth a million then as it nevel exist ? Lol....

Bio fuel r merely an gimmick lah ! How come after add in 5% palm, our diesel still euro 2 only ? According to ur logic isn't it suppose to be instant upgrade to euro 4 ? What's 5-10% d bio fuel can do ? Unless u r talking about 100% bio fuel.

GDI engine tuned to 13:1 compression ratio(except ur rotten cabbage one) can run on Euro 2M ron 95 or Euro 4 ron 91, so what make it so difficult for u to understand ? smile_angry.gif

You can't get RON91/92, our RON95 is good enough to damage your boss' Fatlady 350Z convertible.

You just showed your lack of knowledge on Australia RON91 treated fuel. You don't know different RON grade, different density? Same thing with the biofuel treatment that increased the density of RON91 to run on downgraded injector and combustion.

It is not gimmick, they don't just add in biofuel like that. They have to be processed before could mix with RON91 molecules. Else, they don't mix at all and will damage the GDI engine.

Saw some1 driving his Veloster with 4 adults inside. With style and some practicality. Compared to CRZ, can't even fit teenage kids behind, even small children have to squeeze in. Maintenance wise, the CRZ has to service at 5000km interval yet costs twice the amount of City. Maybe this is good to you? Veloster even beat Sylphy in practicality. Get to chat with the silver Veloster owner yesterday, he got it from earlybird booking. He was ferrying 3 of his adult friends to joyride, FC wise is good, already pumped in few times fuel, average 11km/L in city driving, not yet hit 1000km mileage.
