hi lionelstep,

thanks for the info. i still havent been able to travel far to gauge the mileage...yes...so afar only going to work and back home...

just finish my 1k service.

i guess i have to get used to this current FC until i reach 15k km later...

will gauge my mileage when i get a chance to drive further n will update here...

oh btw, will using manual (+ / - on the transmission) helps instead of keeping on "D" all the time?

I tend to miss driving manual gears....

Using manual select will not help. But to keep one thing in mind and keep practising, that is when the car speed has reached > 50km/h (you can see a red line at this mark "50" on the speedometer), let off your right foot pressure slightly (but still depressing the accelerator) and you will realize your RPM drops to LESS THAN 1500 rpm.

This means the gear has shifted to the highest gear and just slowly maintain your throttle and let the RPM climbs slowly with speed. Try to make it a habit (reaching 50km/h let go slightly on your right foot pressure) if this is your objective of conscious fuel saving. Drive at highest gear as much as possible means fuel saving.

After near 100k KM usage (3 years old).. my rondo is more and more Fuel efficient.. No matter how many time it rest the FC meter. It will stable back to 9.8-9.9 L/100KM. Same path, same route most PG island drive.. For the past 2 years it is constant at 10.3L/100KM... Now, I had make this practice to pump RM70 each time. And it can go 330-350KM before another RM70 fitted in. So it is about 20 cents or 21 cents /KM for an 2.0 cc MPV.. wao.. great man

10.3L/100km is good...mine still clock at 12.3 ~ 13.9L/100km, which about RM0.23 - RM0.27 per liter.
(pump RM80.00 or 42.11liter can only drive 320km)

Currently clocked at 10k++ mileage.

Is this normal or I should drive till 100k before i can get 10.3L/100km?

Is there anything can be done?

Need advice bros...

I think this is normal. I am getting similar figures like yours. Lower figures can be obtained only if you travel at constant speed on some stretch of roads in your daily routine. For me, if I were to travel strictly from home to work, it will be around 14~15L/100km. My fuel consumption improves only if I use highways for makan time.

Last week I went back to Penang from JB, I was able to achieve 9L/100km after driving for 8+ hours with an average speed of around 120km/h. Not sure is it because of the K&N filter I am using or the AES warning that made me stick to the speed limit most of the time.....

Last week i went to Ipoh for family trip, i also manage to clock 9.6L/100KM. but back to town drive (home - office - home), it goes back to 13-14l/100km...

does K&N filter helps?

nowadays i try to keep to 110++ (less then 120km) due to AES...

Hi buckeyes, did you travel from JB to Penang in the day time ? Or a couple of hours (such as 5 hours or so...) in the night time ? Rainy days during the journey?

Hi,

I am using model 33-2934. A lot of sellers doesn't know which model Rondo is using as it is not that popular. I searched Rondo's air filter element part no 281132G000 and found out Kia Optima is using the same part, which most sellers are more familiar with.

I bought it from Kangyoon20 at lowyat.net forum for RM260 (COD) while Speedworksonline quote me RM300. However, Speedworksonline have claimed that theirs are the only originals directly imported from the US while others are parallel imports or are fakes. You might want to check it out in lowyat forum first.....
