Highway driving, I find it very tiring these days on balik kampong journey and return to KL after that. Lot’s of road hogger on a heavy traffic. Left lane with very slow cars and lorries & right lane with them. On fastest lane of three lanes also got them. That’s why I always plan my time to drive only at non peak hours. But sometimes; I cannot avoid peaks hours and have to deal with them. What you’ll do on this circumstance?

Do you:

- Just follow them patiently and hoping when the time comes they change lane. OR
-Tailgate and flashing high beam OR
-Zigzag driving. (I dare not to try this, my balls is not titanium grade enuff: P)

Any other tips?

Nowadays I go outstation with wife's SUV which is newer, so always keep to speed limit. Fast lane once a while to overtake, but keep to middle lane most of the time and if have to overtake on the left also. Safer actually then the right because many are going way pass 130 to 140kmh on the right lane..... smile_shock.gif

for me..i found to keep at the left lane with legal speed when travelling oustation on speedway are more relax and peacefull mind as not many are willing joint with other slow vehicles or heavy vehicles.. of cause that's when my family onboard.. smile_tongue.gif but seriously, even some time when you are driving at middle lane also will be tailgated by thosed heavy/fast vehicles..so if i drive between the legal speed i will stay at most left lane and move to middle lane or right lane when over taking and after than move back to left lane. simple as that.

on other notes, if i dont care about speedy ticket...i will pushed my self all the way on higher speed ( of cause that's when i'm alone) on right lane smile_clown.gif

To Ipoh and back yesterday, at off peak season and hours maybe? - all road are cleared and no road hoggers except a few very too fast (above 200kph) cars to catch up with them.
was doing all the way 160-200kph, with headlight on (due to haze) and dry roads (no rain) nice easy drive all way to & fro, but like V406198 said, already prepared for some tickets! hahahah

Good for you. Try Sunday 7pm onwards from north to KL if you want to see lots of them. Very annoying. I try to avoid this time unless i have no choice.

Why not drive direct from north to KL office on early Monday morning, like start 5am ?
6am from Ipoh, 2 hours, 8am can reach Jln Duta already.

Then use trunk road exit into bidor and come out from tg malim - maybe better and less stress? and can cari makan at some small town rest, like in sungkai, I think is rest choy kee? tg malim also got 1 more - but price quiet cut throat now.
