yup, especially those with 3.0 or 3.2 litre badge, add tuning box alone easily over 200hp....they are much much lighter than mine.

how about the engine longevity??

lighter is a bad point too.... at least it is not as stable as other 4WD... and easier to get wheel spin if you are not carrying any weight at the back.

most diesel engine now easily last 500k km before any major service. but that what claim, not sure if any common rail pickup already reach that long.

yup, leaf spring and lighter rear sure give some problem too, but not easily loss control unless push very hard with mod engine.

major service....overhaul/top overhaul something like that.

minor service you mean service interval? depend what you want to change - engine oil/ atf/axle/..... depend on manufacturer too.

mmmm ... so far i have not met any diesel owner that have engine damage due to tuning box or remap usage.

mmmm... i would recommend remap over tuning box , more harmony and can be tune to your liking. but some tuning box does give tremendous hp gain( some over, i've seen manage to blown the intercooler)

i on remap over 2 years(100k km) , bro br1 on box maybe more( forgot the brand)..so far we have one problem....... heavy footed. ha ha ha
