no probs. it is one of the most reliable peugeot around; that engine and drivetrain has been around for a while and most of the early bugs have been ironed out already. that said, no car is perfect and do expect every now and then, some stuff WILL pop up. so, just be mentally prepared for that.

2nd) 3 yrs warranty + rm7000 rebate

Just bought a new pug 207 today. I choose the 2nd option cuz it is more worth it since i rarely run at highway, just daily go to work which is not far from my living place smile_wink.gif

Hi all, good day ~ I'm Ken, I just want to ask you something.

I actually got my 207SV 2 days ago before CNY, and would like to ask you something.

i) I also heard the 20-50kmh noise of the engine; seems not so smooth. Are you still hearing it? My mileage now is only 85km. Maybe because it's still new?
Coz I read from other user, Lowpro that he didn't have this noise.
I havent asked Peugeout Malaysia yet; so just want to know what is your situation now?

ii) Also, did you hear some noise like wind sound when you driving? It's not that loud; but it's noticeable enough when you off the radio or the radio is less volume.

iii) Yesterday, when I start my car, I heard a screeching sound, seems like coming from timing belt/air cond belt. This happened after I wash my car; the day is also raining, and I didn't start the car for about 1 day. Before that never happened ( well, just 2 days old ) and today also no more this sound. Is that normal? Maybe the car is still very new?

Hope you can advise if you can ^^ I also have the active red color; same like yours ^^ it's a beauty ~

iii) I have this too. Maybe it is normal since the belt is wet.
My 207 now clocked 2500km within a month. Going to Service center by next week. Gonna to tell them all these problems, plus the brake screeching noise n loose absorber link which cause "klok klok" noise when crossing rough/bumpy surface & dashboard+door panel rattle noise when crossing rough/bumpy surface.

For the benefit of 207 owners here are some tips to help you (from my personal experiences):

When battery is about to die - You will see 'Economy mode active' a few times on your MFD. Then when it gets more serious, you will see the message 'Immobiliser faulty'. Don't ask me why the French programme the car to give funny messages though. Solution, change the battery before the car really dies on you. And when it does, all your IP lights will come on and flicker and you can't start the car. But you would want to avoid reaching this stage.

When your brake fluid is low, you will get this message initially. The 'STOP' sign comes on intermittantly together with the handbrake symbol. This happens when you're stuck on a slope like for example going up the parking ramp and stopping halfway from 1Utama or Pavillion. You will also see these symbols when you turn corners, usually to the right.

Then when it gets serious, the MFD will show 'Brake fluid low' (obvious lah by now). You will also see the 'STOP' symbol and the handbrake symbol light up at same time but it doesn't stay there. The message goes on and off depending on the angle u turn or slope you are on. It happened to me just after the car passed one year and a month. Simple solution - pour in more fluid. I checked with the technicians and they said that this feature is useful for those who never open the bonnet up and do their own checking smile.gif

BTW, I just found out that the SV is now available in all colours instead of just black, white and red as when launched.

Some good tips! I imagine the SV in Black to be nice but a biatch to keep clean,lol.
Regarding the brake fluid, if its gone low as in your example, where is it leaking from?
The way to combat obnoxious ideas is with other ideas. The way to combat falsehoods is with truth.

No leak bro. Just that I did not check the fluid for one whole year and a month or so. More of operational use than anything else. Battery changed at 12th month though. So, oklah.

Oh okay, good! Just worn pads meaning more piston stroke meaning more fluid drain from reservoir, that kinda scenario,lol
