[confirmed] 2012 Toyota Camry Powertrain

The new generation camry including the highest spec of 2.5 in taiwan got no VSC or ESP safety feature. This feature is available on 2.4V current version camry. Too dissapointed for all the taiwanese Camry fans. Hoepfully Malaysia one got.

Maybe the Taiwan Toyota interpreted VSC as "Very Sexy Camry" and ESP as "Erotic Sexy Person" ...so if both the Camry car and majority of the drivers/owners don't qualify as such, so not fitted in the Taiwan version of Camry loh..logic mah

Wonder why Toyota would use old 1AZ engine in the Camry for Taiwan market whereas Taiwan always get up to date technology such as the Altis when first launch in Taiwan already getting dual VVTi engine + CVT gearbox whereas others are getting old engine + 4AT. Taiwanese didn't make noise at all?

Besides, the 2.0 dual VVTi engine and the CVT gearbox already proven reliable to use in hot weather countries, there is no excuse for Toyota to use old engine and gearbox anymore. Probably the Camry sales is not much affected by Korean makes yet in Asia so they try to trick us again like they did in Altis.

also the cd console n air cond panel look so outdated, dark words in green background, like the old black n white tv time or when pc was colorless

Agreed. Nowadays console panel with touch screen DVD+GPS+Reverse camera shall come as standard for medium luxury car.
