There are a lot of problems/issues with Toyota cars. I experienced that in my Vios and Altis major claims. But, people still buy. smile_tongue.gif it is Toyota mah. Nothing is going to change our mind set.

I have asked Toyota to provide detailed written report on this issue

Added on November 9, 2011, 6:49 pmGuys need your advise as per Toyota feedback on the SHOCK ABSORBERS, I bought the car based on comfort and safety , now they are saying their are 2 type of absorbers 1 for comfort and the other for long distance good handling which is my current unit, my concern is I wont get the best of both comfortable and good handling if I go fast and I cant accept this,my concern I was not told about all this when I purchase the cars and now I have this issue, how to handle this guys ah

i'm not a camry owner, much less a toyota owner
the closest i've come to are vios (1st gen and 2nd gen) belonging to friends

correct me if i'm wrong but i find that sort of response kinda unprofessional
quite BS in fact

gimme a full refund for the absorbers and i'll top up for sachs/eibach/etc adjustable shocks
i'd complain all the way to nippon

I am not siding too much on Toyota, but the Camry was originally designed for comfort use, so if the original specifications [Thai specs or what not] that did not specify "adjustable shock absorbers" or "high end" [sachs, etc] absorbers...no way we can pursue the matter [our against theirs type of scenario] Normally in Malangsia, consumerism is WEAK...we just need to purse this matter to Toyota HQ [better to write the complaint letter in Japanese]
smile_approve.gif

BTW, the official Japanese word for "JAPAN" is 'NIHON" にほん and not "NIPPON" にっぽん even if both use the Kanji "日本"...NIPPON is a variation that seemed to have originated by the Bushido spirit of a stonger and moer assertive sounding word.

Got my car back after 2 weeks ago after inspection by Toyota and this was their remarks after inspection,

Brake vibration during emergency breaking, 3rd time Toyota replaced this brake disc
Suspension still sucks not to expectation, feel so uncomfortable during city driving and humps
Transmission problem ,when test drive cant sense the issue , but still worried it might happen again automatically drop to neutral while doing 110km and above .

Guys I need some advise is there a qualified and certified independent inspection or QC company in Malaysia please
advise their name and contact details I want to do 3rd party inspection on my car, I am taking to Singapore to do a independent QC on my Camry but I also want to do in Malaysia kindly advise.

All Toyota owners come aboard and share your problems with your Camry especially 2010 and 2011 models

independent QC = PUSPAKOM (dont think they can do a good job tho)
sad to say this but looks like you have got yourself a lemon...

so far (touch wood) there is no issue with my ride after 3 yrs, pump petrol, drive, service when due, that's it
only warranty claim done so far:
1. skimmed front brakes once
2. replaced fronts left shock due to 1st level leak coz kena pothole
