MYTH!
You know la some people got $$$$$$ buy but go to chauka buruk meckanic and put not original part! Later complain complain.
My brother still got his e270cdi and use for 7 years no problem. So far he have only change the seat cover laether from C&C. Other than that just regular sevicing at C&C only.

Agreed! is user problem. you may see a lots of big car breakdown on the highway not because of the quality of the car. It is because of the user that do not know how to take care their own car.

Any cars regardless of make or engine will need proper maintenance. Diesel engine is even more critical on the right grade of Engine Oil and timely drain interval that many users and outside workshop are not aware of.

Ya, I have been using conti cars for so many years! and now 2 diesel SUV for more than 3 yrs, doing more than 100k and 160k kms - still runing and fine, must have maintainence and not wait for it to break down b4 repairs. Diesel engine can easily last a lifespan of 500,000 kms!!! b4 the 1st overhaul if engine oil, oil filter, fuel and air filter are taken car of and change regularly or earlier if possible at 1/2 the recommended service schedule due to our dirty lousy diesel and driving envirolment and jam.

Yup, there is another topic thread somewhere mentioning the chicken and egg. Fuel come first or the car.....
