Sugen, the Continetal CC5 that i saw at tyre shop here is 1 side thread pattern (got stated inside/outside), so you cannot rotate left to right, correct me if i'm wrong.

Unless your chamber all in +ve territory, i think i would prefer normal thread pattern so can rotate later.

No doubt NCT5 is super noisy especially on highway, my standard not so high so can live with it as long as I have a safe journey (I do allignment every 10K km).

These days, decent tyres need to be assymetric (inside/outside).

lionelstep, urs EX or EXS? Just want to confirm wether KUMHO have 16 inch for EXS.

Mine 60K milage and 3 years still with the original Goodyear NCT5 so far still in fair condition, not to bad for daily driving.

Planning to change next year.

EX version, 15". You can change when the thread depth is only left 1mm (based on text book answer) ?

Yes..it is stated inside/outside.. Means, you can't turn the tyre from outside to inside and vise versa.. U can rotate the tyre from left (passenger) to right ( driver) site with no problem. My CC5 already run for 20k KM.. no sign of wear off uneven.. I practice a 10km tyre rotation, alignment and balancing..

Bro wingman as long as the pcd offset is right than you should be able to do so

Forte rim offset is 114 if am not mistaken but to how accuracy the extend am not sure

whether there is any decimal point..eg 114.1/.2/.3

Rondo EX comes with 205X65X15 so if you plan to change then you will need to consider

the profile of tyre as you will need to consider the rolling radius, sidewall height and your

total diameter as when you change whatever you speedo is reading will differ..

Eg.Your speedo maybe reading at 110km/H but your actual maybe 115 or 118..

Cheers,

Hi bro Wilsonlum,

Thanks for your info, I'm still not sure whether will go ahead to change the rim to 17". Apart from looking nice, don't really see any real benefit smile.gif

Hi,

I'm also planning to change my tyres soon. Currently, running stock size 205/65R15 (Toyo Teo plus).
Have narrowed down to these 2 :-

1) Continental CC5 (RM 285 per tyre)
2) Michelin XM2 (RM 315 per tyre)

Any opinions on the XM2 vs CC5 ? Are the price quoted reasonable ?

Thanks.

I am not sure about CC5, but your quoted Michelin XM2 price per tyre seems good. Have you tried to consider Michelin Primacy LC ?
