Yes I have that problem on my white cefiro. Mainly its on the front bonnet and its seems to be an oily substance which eats through sealants and waxes...

I think u must've been tailgating many buses or lorries till spurt oils to you bonnet smile_big.gif

Sorry for OT a bit...

Its still a mystery to me where it comes from, you will see all cars having it when you drive alot in the rain on the highway for along time.

I traveled a lot (in and around Klang Valley). Happened to me all the time. It's smoke residuals from the exhaust. There's a term that they call traffic film/oil film built-up from driving. I noticed that it's not as much when I 'balik kampung'.

oh...and I also noticed that the traffic film also have an adverse effect on the durability of a protection.

Yah makes it worse when your car only has single stage paint vs. one which has CC like my cefiro some more white. As you guys can see when I paint clean the cefiro pics in the OC review, the staining is really bad and that was only about 3 months or less.

M16 vs DG105, my findings are also the same. Beading seems to last longer (not to mention nicer smile_thumbup.gif ) with M16 but it just retained comparatively too much dirt after rain and the stain is much harder to wash off. Anyway, I would not categorize M16 as a 'wax' per se, in a sense that it is more like a sealant in a paste form, much like NXT Paste Wax or Ultimate Paste Wax.

I find the reverse effect to yours. My M16 doesn't stain much as DG105. The only thing about M16 is that you really need to prep up your surface before applying it whereas DG 105 is pretty flexible.

I find that DG105 is not the best beader but its stain resistance is quite good. I notice if you just use DG105 and don't top it off with QD, DG Aquawax or anything else, the stain resistance is the best. It is the "topper" which gets stained when then affects the DG105 below.

So for my White cefiro I just use straight DG105 and wash the car. After every wash I don't QD or anything else as what ever you put on top will get stained easily.

So I just recommend DG105 straight and car wash. When the beading starts to wear away just add more DG105. Simple.

Keeping my fingers crossed with OC2.0, so far fresh stains are easily washed away, same with bugs which is consistent with what many people has reported on the net. Best thing is no need to QD or maintain after wash.

How long have you applied the OC 2.0? Please feedback from time to time on your findings. I have tried a few products on my white car but still haven't find 1 that is tough and durable on stains/ dirt streaks.

Dirt streaks happens on all paint surface. I have silver and gold car and if freshly sealed and left in the heavy rain you will get some dirt streaks around the water run areas, like wing mirror, door handles and boot lids.
Like bro. kris mentioned could be the environment dirty, so it comes down with the rain and accumulate at the run off area. But this streak is easy to wash off, so don't let it cake in the sun a few days, then will need some polish to remove... smile_blackeye.gif

My OC 2.0 is going on 2 weeks now. Today just rain. The black road dust now is on the car and it rained today and the layer is very obvious on the car now. So if tommorrow no rain this will be baked by the sun and this weekend I will wash the car. So fingers crossed.

Did you check out my pics in the OC 2.0 thread. I also outline my method of doing the car and the streaks you can have if not done properly.

I will update my results in the OC2.0 thread which was started by me.

I can understand there will be streaks after rain. However, the challenge is for the products' effectiveness to repel the streaks in a simple car wash.

For Both m16 and dg105, I had to use a mild polish to clean these dirt streaks.
