Hi there all Rexton owner, i'm just get married last month, have to get rid of my Subaru, gonna trade in for an automatic transmission, comfy, suv...
and i lastly found rexton quite in a reasonable price... great specs, great perfomance...

yeah, same as all others ppl, will worried about the services and maintenance fees, but most worried me is the Gearbox and Engine.. wear and tears are still fine...
will the gearbox have many problem? what is the cost for recondition or change a recond gearbox???

welcome bro,

yeah, both kinda fishy, where have sorento and naza ria share anything with rexton..ha ha haha

you can pm our bro r3xt0n and leave your no so he could arrange our KL bro to help you find a nice one. gearbox and engine mechanical part no need to worry, what we worry more are some dealer blanking the check engine light so buyer won't know some overuse/tear/wear of the diesel filter, glow plug, injector or sensor.

if any mechanical part gave problem we would know straight away during test drive.

Hi all,

Just bought a Rexton 2. Fist impression is that the suspension really need to do some upgrade. Maybe change the shock absorber. With full load, it bottom out and when i crawl under the car, the bump stop is all broken.

Welcome bro. Do tell us more about your new ride. Rex2 ori shocks are quite hopeless even when new. I have paid for this lesson. So don't waste your money. Go for Koni if you are a big spender. Or can PM me for a much cheaper alternative which is miles better than the ori.

We have more than 70 Rextonians here with more than 90% owning RX270 ranging from Year 2004 ~ 2006 of all the different spec, so far none has encountered any problem with their gearbox. If you are following the recommended maintenance and using the right ATF Oil, the gearbox run as smooth as silk.

Solenoid / sensors are cheap electronic parts, that do need replacement after so many years. Most of the time are mainly connector/contact point contaminated. But these sensors are also the gadget that provide the luxury features and comfort that you are seeking.

WNB 6932 are bought by one of our new bro and just collected last week, perhaps the ads not removed yet. Don't make your purchase decision base on mileage alone, this can be easily tampered. Go thru the ads to select few to view the external conditions and if price is meeting your budget before shortlisting one for test drive. You can PM me your contact to make the arrangement for car test drive.
