On a long boring journey, I would be on cruise control. Therefore, my left foot would sometimes be on the footrest and occasionally on the floor with my right foot... like when you sit on a sofa. Unless a braking is required, all the driving is done by my 2 hands and right hand fingers (cruise buttons)..

Tried that last time, but must be very light traffic then can. If not always have to swerve or brake.....then set again.... smile_blackeye.gif

For me, whenever i get into an auto car, heel position (for left leg) depends to the size of the footrest itself. If quite small (like Kelisa/Viva) i just put on the carpet while for bigger and more comfortable size (such as Myvi), usually i will put at the footrest.
