The car now has clock 3100km. FC is averaging 380km on combination road with another bar left at the fuel gauge. Had change the tint from the one supplied by proton (Safetint) to Winshield Solar + Safe tint 4mil all round. Reasonable price as that is all i can afford for my daughter's car. Much better heat rejection. With the slowest blower and temp at 1/4 mark it is very much cooling and comfortable drive. Now manage to properly adjust the seat for a good drive as well.

Next on the list is changing the front brake pad as it feel spongy, a better set of speaker and a good polish and wax which will be DIY. Only thing is i need recommendation what brand of wax/polish for dark colour.

Who else is using FL? care to share........

now i using my sis saga fl for 2 weeks alr... overall not bad, only feel the engine roar quite loud when press hard... regarding the good polish and wax, u might need to check in detailing thread..

i just use polymer glass and kits 0-2year wax for my sis car... not dare to use those heavy polishing/wax on new car.

ainbro, didnt u find any good front bonet insulator for saga fl?

I just use 1 layer of Turtle Wax Platinum and put a layer of Perma Glass on top of it.
I found that this combination can last more than a month.

For front bonet insulator, i must remind u that it will muffle some noise but at the same time makes others more audible.

bro ntc2000,

you chapalang job is not chapalang. really good without ORB. can send my car?

i guess the insulator for FL should be the same as all BLM. Found a few at auto acc shop cut into several pieces where we stick it under the bonnet but the material look like it wont do a good job. prefer if it is a one big piece that cover the entire bonnet also.
Wonder whether bro chong of KL auto can customised one from the many sound insulator he has.

As for the polish/wax currently testing the turtle wax , wax it wet. ok la for instant shine that last several days.

Daughter coming back tonight for 3 days off. will see what i can do with all the material i have on the detailing.

I thought for bonnet insulator, whole/big piece is not good as it blocks the ventilation?

I DIY the bonnet insulator last year using air cond insulation (10mm thick) with Dunlop glue... quite ok... but seems like starting to peel off now... maybe workmanship problem... can refer to the link below to see the photo...

I was in Proton SC in Glenmarie this morning for the 2nd service of my daughter's car. The krek krek sound on the driver dorr side was rectify and it was due to a loose regulator screw. They are smart in trying to increse the charge by including unnecessry item such as oil treatment and antibac which will add rm100 to the cost.

Told them is was not necessary and just do the normal oil and filter change and attend to my complaint on the krek krek sound and the aircond which i think in not cool enough. Nothing wrong with the aircond as perhaps it was design that way but got to know that there is a filter attach to the blower . it can easily be reach if we take off the compartment at the passenger side. Not that i can call it a filter as it is just a neting between the air intake and the blower that will trap dust. Will DIY by putting some sort of paper filter that will filter smaller dust maybe at the expense of smaller air volume passing through. Put a paper freshner in between and we will get consistant nice smell and longer lasting unclog cooling coil .

try it out guys.....
