My friends brother drove one and last time i heard the engine malfunction while cruising at 160kmh.
The damage was so bad that the car is stuck at an R&R and cost to repair is close to 20k.
Heard that the rotary engine needs extra care.

high fc match the power output.
If the fc is high but power like BLM 1.3 then its a major problem lah.

However, i must say that the looks is awesome.
U can easily pickup chicks on each stop u make.

i prefer rx7 FD instead rx8....

recently, my BH had an engine shut down when i am crusing at 100km/hr.... turbo gone, full engine redo, repair cost is still unknown yet, est around rm7-10k using isuzu genuine parts.....

what was the cause??turbo jammed???

or engine overboosted????

i think it is the turbo jammed.

engine standard boost only.

failed without slight warning.

service the TB, now the problems gone....

rx8 really troublesm if not maintain proper... my frenz cannot tahan and change to civic type R..

btw, what are the implications of converting the auto to manual? the 4g93 ECU needs to be changed too?

i dunnow putra wether got siemens model or not....try doublecheck that...


no problem AT convert to manual...no need to change ecu...
