directional tires means u can flip over the tires on the right to left... means the tires pattern must face the forward direction only, sidewall of the tire shown the tire rotation direction... when ur front left wear more outside you need swap to front right so that the thread wears more will be inside already...

tq for the info sifu... by the way, what if i would to have Michelin PP2? i'm sure this tire is not directional tire... if i have it on my car, how could i do maintenance so that this tire last longer & not wear out so fast?

with all, regards

PP2 is Asymmetric tires, it outer block will always face out no matter where you put it... so if your car is wearing outer block faster then this will make it a lil more worst... BTW PP2 outer block did wear faster than i expect, if you like corners you will see the difference...
try to change to directional tires if you have outer block or inner block thread wear faster...

i'm not sifu, my sifu is Mr Chew (vr2turbo)... last time i stick to Michelin only now i'm more neutral to others...

oh... i see... by way, besides kumho espt, what are another tires suit my car...

basically i'm lopoking for quiteness, handling, grip in wet, & brakes... because viva can be catogorized as non stable vehicle... this maybe this car is quite high n the size is small... compared to other cars, they are quite lowerd compared to viva.. there so many times when i braked emergencyly... the car skid front.. the condition become terrible in heavy rain... perhaps these problems solve when i buy the new tyre..

well bro... ESPT does not give you any quietness coz iti s directional tires and in theoretically it is not quieter than Asymmetric tires... so it is up to you... PP2 wears rating is a bit low 280 compare to others 300 and above surely 280 will wear faster...
My fren did used both PP2 and ESPT b4 on his Kenari, his comment is good but ESPT is a lil behind on the grip in wet... but in return you no need to worry about the problem of outer thread wears faster or not coz you can flip left to right... although the flipping is a lil expensive RM10~20 per time but still it will help your tires to last around 1.5x the life of Asymmetric tires...

yup... surely... how about

BRIGDESTONE POTENZA RE-030
FALKEN ZIEX ZE-912
HANKOOK VENTUS V8 RS
CONTINENTAL ComfortContact CC5

however, i searched all tire shop in ipoh for CC5.. it still not available... for my car, the only available is CC1... refer back to your advice, i guess i to skip it no matter what.. haha.. still got 4 choices.. RE030, 912, V8RS, ESPT, thus, which tire would you recommend to me, not only it last longer, and also provide quiteness, handling, grip in wet, & brakes...

with all, regards..

oh you are from ipoh.. me too tongue.gif working in PJ...

if you really want the tires to last long with flipping then u should use directional tires... V8rs or ESPT is ur choice... others is asymmetric tires... CC1 skip it... not good...

yes it is... Duraplus i think can last coz the advert is 100k km for that tires but hard to say when you have uneven wear problem... korean tires ok la... similar thinking like mine last time... but after i use hankook V12 i don mind to use it again... wink.gif
