Fun-to-drive Trunk Roads

After coming back from an outstation trip, where I had rented a car to get about in the rural kampung-type roads, I was wondering if there were any similar roads within the klang valley. You know the ones, twisty single-lane roads with lots of up/down elevation changes... also must be fairly deserted coz, well, you know I know enuff lah No need to let the fuzz in on it!

Reason I'm asking is, I was thinking of driving my car along these type of roads to see how it performs. Maybe I'm just looking for our very own Made in Malaysia Nordschliefe!

Kuala Selangor to Sg. Buloh, but winding when nearer to Sg. buloh only.

Nilai, Salak, Sepang, Bukit Pelandok to Lukut near PD.....also quite good....

Enjoyed it when drove my VR outstation, nowadays drive my wife's ride.....

bukit pelandok-lukut=pd area is rally area many years back....syiokk...but too many traffic in daylight..night time good...


and pedas-linggi-masjid tanah route really superb..but thats outside klang valley ah

For a Rallychamp sure will know Bkt. Pelandok-Lukut route....

Used to follow the rally there years ago. APRC from the days of Colin McRae, Richard Burns, Monster Tajima......

Why not try Karak - Kuala Pilah route through Manchis, Simpang pelangai etc.

Genting Gohtong Jaya - Ulu Yam. Lotsa hairpin good for drifting.

i remember the last proper APRC rally on 96'...

1st stage already cancel coz "0" car driving wrong direction and had a head on collision with yoshio fujimoto's corolla wrc....

then a few other stage also cancle due to safety reason (*too many uncontrollable spectators)

later colin mcrae's car or richard burn not sure had a full swing to left and right rear door of his impreza...and still running strong...


missed those daring rally days..







this one i know...really nice steady and smooth flows....but if u were stuck behind slow car in can be irritating coz overtaking opportunity almost non-existence.... unless u were a daredevill off course u can overtake anytime soon..






downhill can make your brake fade woo this route really dangerous...even my bikes tyre and brake can't handle 100% pace all the way to the bottom..have to reduce the pace 70% downwards...
