i remember the last proper APRC rally on 96'...

1st stage already cancel coz "0" car driving wrong direction and had a head on collision with yoshio fujimoto's corolla wrc....

then a few other stage also cancle due to safety reason (*too many uncontrollable spectators)

later colin mcrae's car or richard burn not sure had a full swing to left and right rear door of his impreza...and still running strong...


missed those daring rally days..

That year when Colin McRae crash he drop to 6th place or something, then he went all out to chase the leaders. That was the best year to watch. After that he was promoted to race in the World Rally, and he never came back to Malaysia.

yep..if not mistaken only got 6stages that day...it was a failed event..but amongst the most memorable rally coz got so many action....and if u check my fb photo..i snap some of those picture and upload it....(yoshio fujimoto's corolla wrc during repair after the collision)


*start young??? maybe i didn't tell u that my father tied me on the co-driver's seat when i was 2years old and he was driving in the rally car to the maximum...he told that i wasn't event cry...in fact..i was smiling and laughing for fun....

no baby chair...full size 4point harness

now he became team advisor/manager...and i'm trying to persuade him to get racing again with me...can be father n son combination...should be great....

last time yep..racing with ross,karam,tg.mahalel,late wiliam mei, etc etc.....and once got position in PERT team during 5 car assault with 1 prototype proton saga turbo 4wd...the one with 4unit of round headlights driven by k.taguchi if not mistaken..but he only got normal proton saga la...



btw..related to this thread....if the TS happens to heading south at melacca or port dickson...dun forget to take pedas-linggi toll exit,take right and heads to masjid tanah route....really like roller coaster..great highspeed turn...good flow...and one showdown hairpin left turn....good for drift....this is where i tapau a perdana v6 with me driving old rusty pickup 1000cc pickup.... we play catch-up along the way...
