I dun see any need to have this, perhaps to increase Lifestyle in the eyes of the public.............

Ya, you are right to imply that some might buy the iPad because of "wants" rather than "needs". The unit is not cheap, so whoever is thinking about buying this must consider if iPad is necessary in your work and personal needs. To me, doing serious work is still best on the laptop, and I still rather have my laptop around for "portable work". iPad would be nice on holidays or if I am not planning to work (but would like to bring some of my work just in case).
