What would happen if i use 15w/50 that are not fully synthetic..will it damage the gear box...

A Mineral oil with 15W50 runs the risk of the oil breaking down. hence offering no protection to gear box and damaging it. A Mineral oil with 15W40 has no such problem.

It is OK to use 15W50 but best to use Fully Synthetic.

sorry,

what is the logic to use engine oil in gearbox rather than the normal gearbox oil? is engine oil thicker or what?

That question never comes to my mind because I put my trust in the car manufacturer's recommendation,. Not some idiot car mechanic who knows nothing but will say anything and insisting on using gear oil in my transmission. If Isuzu says to use engine oil, then engine oil it is.

I personally used straight 140W for front axle. Straight 90W (for LSD) for rear axle. Both are Mono-grade gear oil. I do not use any multigrade.

1) im using Toyota LSD oil for rear axle - GL5 - 85w-90..( Do u know What GL5 means)
2) Engine oil im using toyota CF40..

Straight 140w means there is no like 80w-140 right, just 140 on the sticker...

About front axle , what brand are u using , how many litre do we need , cost ? maybe i wanna use like yours..

Ive checked with Redline - they have 80w-140 GL5 & 75w-140 GL5..the price i dont know, its in US currency.

Why r u not using multigrade, any harm to the engine?
