Mostly... unlikely...
It will be here in 1-2 years...
The Koreans and the Americans will get it first...
Then... the others...

Tucson just launch a few days back...
Sonata launch delayed to June (from reliable sources)...
And the 2011 Avante and Accent is still very new in other Foreign countries...
Besides...
Hyundai and Kia are non-establish brand in Malaya...
It will take some time..., when the Malaysian mindset is ready...
There will be more Koreans cars here then...

What have you been smoking or drinking? RM110K for a 1.6-litre C-Segment Korean car? At that price, I would go for the 2-litre Civic or the 1.8-litre Altis. The top-of-the-line 2.0sx Forte is going for RM93K and it can be bought today!

Maybe priced at Honda City level? Assuming CBU and has good spec list I think it will have a very good fighting chance!
The design and features will justify the lower brand value. Forte will also help to in the meantime pave the way for consumer confidence in Korean cars. Gotta love SD and their 5 year warranty which trumps Naza's 2 yrs warranty.
*** We must also take note that SD had been heavily discounting their existing Avante stock. This might be in preparation of the new one coming very soon? (I must be dreaming).

IF it comes with 2.0 Theta II dual CVVT engine (same engine like Tucson)...PLUS
six speeders with GDI < Rm110k CBU. I want one....... smile_tongue.gif smile_tongue.gif
Anyway, I doubt SD will bring in 1.6, just like the current Avante. It will be difficult to position besides Verna.

Sorry, but it will still lose out to the Civic. It should be well <rm100k before it will start selling even with the new Theta II and 6-speed tranny.

Even though they have push start, high tech engine, full spec,.... to them, it's still a Kia/Hyundai, with the above mentality.
Every new colleague which I mention "hey!, I might get a Forte or a Rondo". Their 1st answer is "you sure or not?, high FC and low resale wor". Some are even current korean car owners. I am tired of telling them the winds have changed since the Picanto era!
Therefore, SD and Naza, you have to put your price low to attract the masses. Build a new customer base and in a few years time (with good reliability) to prove the worth of these cars. Currently, the global Kia and Hyundai's 1st marketing strategy is 'design' to build attraction.
