Yup mine is the one with that 'retro' speedo meter too. Stock standard - no change whatsover except for a Givi 45 litre box at the back.

wenger, please let me know once you got the battery price. Though mine still shows no problem even after slightly over 3 years (still ori - and never even once used the kick starter smile_tongue.gif ) guess it's high time to start looking around.

Just did a round trip to JB. The weather was fine all the way. But sadly I can only squeezed 100km/hr out of my ride. Its sufficient for the trip but lack the excitement. All I need is another 20km/hr that will be nice. TQ

it's quite some time since i last log in...btw,my ride is about 35k rite now..but in terms of acceleration,it is quite frustating...i'm using sheng 180cc block with other things+12.5g sliding roller dr pulley, but just couldn't bring back the power..so,went to MMR in shah alam n was adviced to changed the cvt set (mangkuk dpn+kipas+spring+belting) n change back to 13.5g...but need to wait for extra money la..

if any of u have this kind of prob (ie lack of accelaration), try servicing the cvt+carb, check all the cvt components n if u hv extra money,u can opt to change to SYM 172cc block which is available in MMR Sec 16 Shah Alam, Mcdonas Jalan Ipoh (in front of Pusrawi Clinic) or ManSeng workshop (near loke yew roundabout, rite in front of the new hotel...these workshops r considered as the most reliable n trustworthy workshops for elegan n SYM in the Klang Valley...just go and ask the mechanics there (ah chai for MMR; khairul n kechik for mcdonas; ah choon n wan for manseng) n they will definitely help u with ur technical dilemmas :-)

It seems that anybody with a 3 year old above elegan will have this problem i.e from standstill or 5kmh to 2o kmh there will be a certain degree of annoying jerk. This problem I declare will be inherent to all elegan and somehow we have to live with it. Oh yes you can service the CVT and by all means change what ever component you want. And I can tell you that the problem will go away but your joy will only last about 1 or the most 2 weeks and your old friend will come back again. I wonder if this happen to the sym gts model. Anybody know.
