why are you guys so obsessed with sedans?
these (mazda2 and fiesta) are originally hatchback cars. they look great. making it a sedan, spoils its lines.
sigh....

sedan obsessed ppl...

What obsessed?
Those are your words. Nowhere in this whole thread did anyone mention they are dying to buy a sedan.

In comparison to the Mazda 2 sedan's rear the Fiesta sedan's rear looks better to me. The Mazda 2 sedan looks little out of proportion from the picture. The Peugeot T33 fared the worst. Anyway looks are subjective as one man's meat is another man's poison.
I think Mazda 2 body line look more slick, compare to Ford Fiesta body line look out of proportion, especially between the bumper & the real lamp.
Mazda 2 look more sporty & Ford Fiesta look more conservative.
Then again this is just my own point of view, we have to see the real car to comment.
I too think both hatchback model look better.

saw both the fiesta sedan and mazda2 in china. the mazda2 wns hands down but the fiesta has a really good looking dashboard.
the m2 looks the most proportionate while the rear of the fiesta is kinda tall and narrow. in reality, the cars look quite different from pictures. even the peugeot t-33 looks normal in reality but kinda funny in pictures.
Let's talk about driving again!

Yes DC18, pretty much so. Although I was never into hatchbacks, I will closely evaluate both sedan and hatchback options now after receiving some negative responses on the sedan version here. The hatchback looks sportier but doesn't have the executive looks that I want.

This picture below is taken from the Thailand website that reflects the actual interior of the Fiesta that we will be getting here in Malaysia. The buttons on the steering wheel in the Thailand version are only on the left hand side while the American version has buttons on both left and right hand sides of the steering. Everything else look pretty much the same.

the fiesta front is

. In the end, decision can be made when the car is here. interior is top notch too compare to the market here.
but can be small for 6 footer and worst for the passenger behind the 6 footer

. handling as usual ford pedigree setup

Yes, car in this segment will be small for 6 footers. Fortunately I am not that tall. Similar comments were made by one of the Fiesta reviewers in Youtube who sat at the back seat of the Fiesta who is a 6-footer himself. Since this car will be mostly used by one person guess that doesn't matter. The other family car(Nissan Sylphy) will solve the rear legroom problem when used for long-distance journeys.
The front end of the Fiesta looks really good mainly contributed by the long prominent headlights. I am curious about all the rave reviews of the great European handling of the Ford, more so since the small little Fiesta was said to have similar handling compared to the Focus and Mondeo except being a much smaller car and easier to park. Since I have never driven an American or European vehicle in my life other than Japanese, I think I might be in for a surprise.
