Yes, car in this segment will be small for 6 footers. Fortunately I am not that tall. Similar comments were made by one of the Fiesta reviewers in Youtube who sat at the back seat of the Fiesta who is a 6-footer himself. Since this car will be mostly used by one person guess that doesn't matter. The other family car(Nissan Sylphy) will solve the rear legroom problem when used for long-distance journeys.
The front end of the Fiesta looks really good mainly contributed by the long prominent headlights. I am curious about all the rave reviews of the great European handling of the Ford, more so since the small little Fiesta was said to have similar handling compared to the Focus and Mondeo except being a much smaller car and easier to park. Since I have never driven an American or European vehicle in my life other than Japanese, I think I might be in for a surprise.
you may not wanna drive ur slphy again. well i am a focus user and tested the mondeo before, so is really a good setup done by the europe ford which also develop the fiesta.
actually u can consider those preown focus selling at not too bad prices, about the same as a new fiesta

Thanks for the feedback. I also feel the Focus is a good handling car since a Focus owner in Motortrader who owns BMW and Mercedes Benz commented that the Focus drives better than these German cars in city driving. Quite surprising indeed. I also think I won't want to drive the Sylphy after I test the Ford. The light steering and road feel of the Sylphy is quite poor. Anyway if driving slowly it is still okay. The strengths of the Sylphy are not in ride and handling but on comfort and level of quietness in the cabin. For a driver, the Sylphy may not be the most exciting vehicle to drive. However, passengers may benefit greatly when sitting in the Sylphy. The rear legroom of the Sylphy is comparable to the Accord and Camry.
I am not into pre-owned vehicles. Anyway the current version of the Focus although looks quite good, cannot match the new Focus 2011. This new version of Focus looks much better especially on the rear whereby the tail lights look substantially different from the current Focus.
Actually another car that appeals to me is the new Suzuki Kizashi. For this year most likely it would be a Ford, the cheapest Ford that is.

I have another friend who owns the current model of the Ford Focus bought 1+ year ago and he told me Ford usually have some discounts at certain times of the year, and the discounts they give can be quite huge. I was thinking if there would be any discounts for the Fiesta, and when will Ford announce these discounts.

agreed slphy is for comfort, diff pirority diff preference.
as for ford discount, yes normally wait for crossover year thats when the discount get larger. Also depends on the demand of the model, but being ford in malaysia demand won't be spectacular due to RV and branding.

Ford Fiesta ICE unit remind me of Transformer logo
But donno Deceptercon or Autobot.
I have seat inside Mazda 2 Hatchback Model before, the space is acceptable even for XL malaysian man like me, but i am not six foot lah !
A re-match of the good old day Mazda 323 vs Ford Laser, i think.

Found a video on the Fiesta sedan that shows a clearer picture of the car in real life.
2011 Ford Fiesta Sedan At Montreal Auto ShowAfter watching this video I would take the sedan over the hatchback anytime. It is a handsome looking car to my eyes.
Now it's just time to wait for Ford to bring in this new Fiesta sedan down from Thailand.

Just stumbled on this video.
Fiesta Review By Jeremy Clarkson Of Top GearWhole lot of fun to watch. The finale is little over-the-top. A 10 minutes fun video for anyone who is considering to purchase the all-new Fiesta. If you have not watched it, please do so.
