I got one recently, it's a new 6AT with all the previous bugs fixed. Fantastic car, underrated by most with a brilliant engine design.....it's only got 2 moving parts! Maintenance costs are crazy low compared to similar sports car, (S2000, EVO, Imprezza), just around RM100, and don't believe everything bad you read about this engine...it's very reliable and will last as long as any other conventional one. It doesn't "carbon" up, just use the correct mineral oil, check it often, any 5w30 will do fine. Synthetics are NO GOOD for this engine. Most engine rebuilds are because of owner "own damage", so be careful when choosing a recon one.
It is definitely NOT a practical car for everyday use, it's a fun sports car. If you want a car for everyday use get a Myvi or something like that.

Last month I was driving towards Sunway Tol around noon when I saw a white smoke from afar. When I neared I saw a coupe with white smoke billowing out from the front. Its a FD and immediately I suspect the Apex Seals were gone. No offence fellow rotaries, its a damn fun car to drive nevertheless.
