Anyone has problem with the A pillar? I found the A pillar car like old Honda City, Nissan Latio and SX4 sedan has some blind spot between the side mirror. Cannot actually see the small car or Motocycle beside you, have to look twice before you take other lane.

My SX4 sedan (bought in may 2009) is a very nice car to drive. Very quiet on highways and I drive between USJ to Singapore very often. Cruising along at 130-140 is a breeze. Very stable at cornering + good grippy Dunlop SP37 tyres.

3 problems discovered with the car ;
1) Juddering brakes - solved it with a little skimming
2) Slightly excessive steering rack free play. Doesn't affect the handling but do get the loose steering rack sound (like loose bolt joint sound) when driving over certain uneven roads. Yet to rectify the problem as Suzuki mentioned have to replace the steering rack and has to order the part.
3) Water stain marks on all the windscreens

To get rid of water marks on glass, cut a lemon in half and rub it rigorously over the affected glass. Repeat until the problem is solved.

i am now considering sportage manufactured 2007 but selling at 90700 (about 20k discount) with 5 years warranty and 100k free maintenance. tire is made in 2007 and since battery is out, cannot start engine to test drive. it has been in showroom for several months and not left at yard. i check blog n people recommend to immediately change oil, filters (oil & air). any other things i should note? but this is not same to compare with sx4!

The Sportage at its current price is a very good deal. The SX4 sedan with its increased RM14k discount is also a good deal.

The usual things apply when you buy stored cars. Change tyres (flat spots would have formed). Flush and replace all fluids and oils. Change wipers. Change belting. Change battery.

Changing filters I have not heard before. I won't think there is an issue if they are not changed but no harm changing the oil filter if you are already replacing engine oil.

Look like no one has A pillar side mirror view problem when driving SX4 sedan. I have a lot of friend who drive Old Honda City, Nissan Latio and they complain on the A pillar side mirror has some blind spot on viewing the car or motorcycle beside you when take to other lane. Just wonder does SX4 Sedan has the similar problem?

In the beginning I feel the A pillar may obstruct my view but after I drove my sx4 for 1 year + so far so good, Maybe I've already get use to it. U need to test drive the car urself and find out whether the A pillar will obstruct ur view. The window at the A pillar is much more larger compare to City and Latio.

I don't think its possible because the audio system is standard from Japan even for Euro spec also no aux in and USB, they only have 6CD Changers, I think may be you can ask for the CD Changers model, but don't know got or not... My Car come with cigarette lighter plug as standard... I think the best way is you can check with the car dealer on this, pay a visit to JL99 at selayang, you'll see quite some numbers of sx4 sedan parking there.. check it out yourself and ask them for more info. rolleyes.gif

I receive SX4 interior from my friend who own the SX4 sedan, I notice that is the CD/AUX button on the CD player. Just wonder where can find the AUX port from dashboard? If there is no AUX port in SX4 sedan, why they state CD/AUX button in the player?

I have no idea too and quite forget what I observe interior during my test drive last time. Just saw my friend shares his picture in the facebook after he owns SX4 sedan. I just notice that is the Audio player button that stated CD/AUX. I found some picture in internet also, a lot of audio player also contain CD/AUX, I believe this should be new model or facelift. But sometime you can find the port in some hidden place, like my father's Honda Accord has USB and AUX, but we can't really find the port in the obvious place and one day we found it in some hidden place.

Just check your audio player whether the button state only CD or CD/AUX.
