Hi popcorn & Miki Mao!

Didn't you know that the last Orion 4G18 all aluminium engine was removed by MMC when they withdrew in 2005 or 2006. So are the 4G92 & 4G13 engines follow suit later. That forced the Waja to be fitted with re-moulded 4G92 1997cc CAMPRO S4 engine with the help of Lotus with slightly different pattern. The Waja was based on Mitsu Charisma platform but never look anything like it. Fyi, Lancer 2005 is not sharing the same platform as Charisma. Do you guys know exactly why MMC withdrew?

Ever since the traitors discovered within MMC and the ruined reputation and corruption that led to poor quality in technical parts, MMC had revamped everything and the Lancer is actually their most expensive highest effort placed project ever with high quality control and lots of restriction. They would never let any1 to touch its Lancer unless after several years later in future that EVO XI variant Lancer is ready to replace the current Lancer.

Please refer Volkswagen partnership as well, read them then compared with MMC partnership. You'll find same result. MMC is even reluctant to sell the A380 Galant platform. There have been news that the Saga BLM & Exora are actually China made platform as told by Chinese people from China.

As usual, jayraptor the great fiction story teller... Still can't find evidence to support his claims. smile_disapprove.gif Anyway, it will be good enough to compile them for casual reading. smile_big.gif

Anyway, there is nothing really bad if the Waja replacement looks very much like the Lancer. Karim is right. At least, current Lancer owners get hell lots of cheap spare parts with the potential economies of scale.

wah u all here now...

yeah 120y and 130y..comfort and quiet...

engine sound of lancer better than civic ?

Hi fkmfkm,

That old thrash 120Y and 130Y? Better go for Corolla. Engine sound is powerful, that sharp peak rev, won't find it in stock Civic 2.0S.

Hi mikimao the lidiman,
Keep praying that Waja will be rebadged Lancer, won't happen anyway coz MMC doesn't want to get anymore tarnish bad reputation. Else, it'll remain as tough competition to some car sales. Do you really think the Campro S4 engine is any better than 4G18 engine? 4G18 is all aluminium more advanced engine, why was it removed, can you tell me?

Hi Tourist,

China is now much richer and still they were barred by MMC from getting its latest and not even 2nd latest generation engines. Money won't really make MMC sell anything that could damage its reputation nowadays. They look at future aspects and continuous sales, not just money alone. So far, Kia/Hyundai + 1 whole Korea financial backing is adequate for Mitsubishi to do everything. No need to let others rebadge its brand like back then.

Hi Fatty Donaldquack Jayraptor,

Not my concern whether Waja will be rebadged as Lancer or not. sleep.gif Instead, Mitsubishi salesman like you should do more praying laugh.gif By the way, I am no car expert but just speak based on factual evidence and report. Well, who cares whether Campro S4 or 4G18 is better? My wild guess is that as far as cost and the company's objective is concerned, it is in the best interest of Proton to use their own engine (save royalty payment to Mitsubishi). After all, they have their own engine anyway and it is not really much more inferior than the 4G18. By the way, it has always been a mission for Proton to popularise their Campro engine. Perhaps, getting some design cues from the Lancer would help them in that direction (via the Waja).

My advice is that, if you "sik siu siu", don't "pan toi piu". Hey, you still can't back up your claims. smile_disapprove.gif But I must give you the honour for concocting some impressive stories. You do know a little bit here and there, but just not enough. 059.gif

Hi Miki Mao the Lidiman sunyatsen,

Not my concern as well but just to let you know that there won't be rebadge anyway so forget about getting any rebadged Lancer to replace either your Civic or Sylphy in future. What sort of claim to back when there is no statement from MMC that it allows its protected new cars to be rebadged by others? The claim on whatever superior car to be rebadged came only from one single side. You'll need to eat more. Ops, no you shouldn't, else you'll find the Sylphy too narrow or the Civic rear seat headroom too low for you if your size increased.

Say, the N16 1.8L QG18DE & QG16DE seems to have higher horsepower than MR18DE & HR16DE. Wonder will Latio be better if both changed their engines to the 2 older generation engines used in N16? Popcorn can help Miki Mao to answer.

Well, I think you should ask Nissan personally on that question (If u happen to get an answer, please do provide some real facts ok) . Wow, try to taichi away from the question. Oh yes, please don't talk crap again if you can't find any concrete data or claims to back your replies! In short, keep the comments to yourself if you don't know much instead of misleading people. Please learn to reply responsibly.

Miki Mao,

You didn't provide any facts to back your claim as well. What can you say about my comments? Facts are facts, can't be covered even if you get pro-Nissan supporters to back you up. Having just around less than 1380mm interior width will get any 3 adults feeling cramped. No need to bend the facts.

Hi Popcorn,

The Lancer's interior width is already sufficient for 3 adults. It's wider than 1400mm, no prob. So is the Altis, the best for C-segment so far. No need to get Mitsu Delica, Toyota Hiace or Nissan Urvan.

Dear Jayraptor the Fatty Donald Quack,

I guessed you must check your eye sight or probably attend some basic English classes if you can not find that I have attached a link to a report by the Star (or perhaps u are still in the state of denial as things are not happening to your advantage). Yes, facts are facts but you still failed to provide one reply that made us convince!!!! At least give us some reports to back up what you said.

I am not touching on rear passenger space since it has been debated countless times in other threads (you are just so lame....) I know your fat ass often got stuck at the back of the Sylphy but you just can't keep on feeding people with misleading FACTS! You just seemed to run out of ideas to promote the Lancer. Honestly, there are many aspects that the Lancer beats the Sylphy but too bad, your knowledge is just so inadequate to make a sales here. I will suggest you buck up your product sales knowledge if you are really keen to win sales.

By the way, I don't really think people is attacking you for no reason. People just beh tahan when they see irresponsible claims or false statements from a person who sik siu siu pan toi piu. smile_tongue.gif
