2. DG951 is a wax booster or LSP ?
3. the PBA 601 can bond ontop of others LSP ?

Hi 2322,

I haven't personally used DG products yet, but from what I have read:

1) Which type of glaze are you planning to use? If Meg's #7, I recommend using after 105 because sealants bond to clean paintwork or compatible polymers. If you have an acrylic based glaze (Danase, Chemical Guy's EZ Glaze), then it should be ok to use it after 601 but before 105 (but 105 has light cleaners?). 501 and 601 have cleaning properties so avoid putting something before them.
2) DG951 can be used as an LSP or a booster.
3) As mentioned in (1), PBA 601 can't bond to something except for paintwork since it has cleaning properties. So you can put LSP on top of it, but not below it.
4) If I were to use DG501, I would most probably use a polishing pad or a finishing pad (more to this) and not use more than 1000RPM.

Wow, how's PB Black Hole? I have CG's Wet Mirror Glaze, which I tested once. For some strange reason, I don't have a place for it during detailing smile_big.gif

PBBH is a great product on dark colour car, it can apply over anything, application method just like sealant, apply then wait to haze then wipe off unlike M07 take time to wipe.
It gives a very glossy look & fill imperfection for a "daily drive show car". Heard it pop up the metallic flake but I own a solid black car.

Hi Bro 2322,

Hope I am able to answer some of your questions..

1. I would recommend skip #601 PBA if you want a glaze below.. #601 loosen up old waxes and it has some cleaning properties in it.. Go straight to #105 after your glaze..

2. To me..I see #951 as a topper or a booster..I know it AW standalone lasted easily 3 months in U.S..In our climate..I would give it max out 3 weeks..

3. PBA works on any polymer sealant or even a wax which has polymers in it..There is another usage method is by mixing a ratio of 1:3 with your sealant..Do note that mix it in different bottle and usage time frame is within 24hours..

4. If you are using a ROB..I would recommend a speed 3 to 4 with a white pad..#501 dries up quite fast..

Hope the above helps....

Cheers
Benny

hi Benny, thanks for the recommendation, mixing of PBA & sealant looks interesting, save one step, will give it a try.

thanks for bro's chipping in.

bro.2322.

2. i only used 951 Aquawax as topper and normally after 2 weeks upon apply the 105 or track claw sealant. I still preferred a liquid sealant as based instead of spray type. My users esp those cars wash by their maid or bangla's are using Enviro-shield as Based then used 951 for beating (easier for them to teach). Since you are more hardcore, used the 951 Aqiawax as topper lah.

3. U can try maddy method but I normally do a quick wipe with 601 + MF applicator pad since it only took 10 mins of my time. Bared in mind tht the mixtures can't be used after 24 hours. I will follow up with TPP 105 sealant , TrackClaw, 501 AIO, 101 AIO or your fav sealant. If you wan more paint cleaning then use the 501/101 instead of 105 bcoz 105 too mild cleaning to me.

4. ROB u can follow maddy method with speed 3 and preferred with the 5.25" LC white. I normally mist some DG521 Detailer Spray or Filter Water to the LC white pad prior putting the 501 AIO.

If you wan to use 501 for your Makita RB then go with speed 2 or 1100 rpm oso can. Mist the whiter pad with some filter water when dry.

By hand- Mist the MF applicator pad with 521 or filter water prior pouring a 5-10 cents coin size of 501 to pad. Work on 2x2 feet.

bro.2322,

I oso use PoorBoy Black Hole since it is a good and very easy to use Glaze leh. I like it esp for my roof to fill which is beyond cutting. i found M7 can only work on smaller area then hv to buff off soon. Is diff to buff off when working on bigger session.

to me is ok to use Glaze after 1-2 months of your polishing since those swirls/scratch shd come back around this time. HAHA unless u always hv a VIP parking every where u go OR u dun drive your car out. Your PG and KL is the same, ppl just dun care and some even put their boxes on your bonnet while opening their car boot. $%$^

1. I only used the PB Black Hole for my roof after 1 month being polish. Roof was polish with M205-> 601->501->interval ->521QD ->Enviro Shield before. I apply the PB Black Hole by hand with mf applicator pad then follow by DG 105.

I also tested the PB Black Hole for a just "sanded polish panel ". Osren 3.0->Merz 106 FF -> 501->B Black Hole ..->601-105

For this sanded panel , Actually not much improvement of PB Black Hole in terms of clarity after the DG 501 but It does add a bit of depth to it and nothing to fill since the panel is almost perfect. haha Safe your Glaze 1 month later lah.

btw: PB Black Hole glaze so far compatible with my sealant.

waahh.... u guys very the extreme users one....

i just use as per in the manufacturers direction maybe modify steps a bit if i lazy...

no matter which product or brand that i use, i always follow my project management teachings last time, KISS.

so 2322, to answer ur questions, my non-extreme user, little experience, more typical end-user, KISS follower, answers would be:
1. If I want to apply glaze, what is the sequences ? 501>Glaze>601>105>951 or....?
Never used glaze before so dont know the answer.

2. DG951 is a wax booster or LSP ?
I would say both. After doing the sealant, then can put as LSP or after wash after 2 weeks, can put as a wax booster, i think.

3. the PBA 601 can bond ontop of others LSP ?
Dont know about bonding stuff. I know if put 601 above LSP, the LSP slightly removed by 601, i think.

4. What is the machine application method for DG501 ?
White LC pad, slow speed.

Hope my answers are consistent with the Masters of the DG here. Else, kena tiau by them for giving not so correct answers...
It's easy when you know how...
