They were hyping this car up as a competitor to the long-time Aussie favourites of the Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore.

alldisc,
Thanks for posting great pics. Wah! U managed to get that latest Toyota Verso MPV pics? Great Job!
CBT mentioned that Honda Freed 7-seater B/C-segment MPV already launched in Indonesia meaning it might reach our shore latest in 2010. That means Toyota will definitely counter attack by bringing in Toyota Verso to compete in B/C segment MPV category currently dominated by Nissan Grand Lavina.
As people said 2010 will be year for the MPV when enforcement on rear seat belt is started for real. For now, we won't receive fine for not fastening rear seat belt but not in year 2010, rear seat belt not fasten will be slapped with police fine.
Toyota Avensis is just like Nissan Maxima sold only in US market.

Mark X has its roots originated from Mark II and the Cressida.
let me show pics of Mark II and Mark X. Cressida has stopped production long time ago.
mark II verossa looks a lot like misuoka. there probably is a market for modern cars with classis look in japan.

I thought the Cressida evolve to be Camry? Some earlier Cressida model mid 80's were also named as camry in Australia.
