Was considering buying a city but just saw the newly launched 308 and wow. the vti is alittle bit more pricier than the city but the quality and look of the car is amazing plus the equipment level is impressive, cruise control, 4 airbags, auto headlights and wipers, etc. the dashboard has soft touch plastics and the air-con vents have chrome rings for the classy look. i was also told by the sa that the car has got a variable valve lift on the intake and outlet camshaft.
i am now stuck as to which model to go for. price quoted is rm96,500 otr...i have yet to test drive so my judgement is based on just static evaluation. looking forward to a test drive as soon as there is a unit for test drive before i decide.

guys can offer any opinion....real dilema cos I like the new City and then here is the 308 VTi...

i would go for honda for its
1. after sales service and parts back-up.
2. better re-sale value

other than that, i would choose the peug.

For this price & at this engine capacity...I'll go for Altis 1.6 L as consideration. Perhaps Hyundai Elantra 2.0L.

can afford this price...go for Pug man. Feature rich & at least it was the road not influx with Altis.

For me..if my budget range < RM90K, I'll go for Autobots Tranform City. My next affordable level will be the Civic.

Wonder why compare City with Pug 308...as it of different class. Should compare with Altis 1.6L.

I would go for a test drive if I were you and try not to bring your cheque book along to the Peugeot showroom rolleyes.gif

The best place for a back-to-back test would be Glenmarie; Kosmo Kars and Nasim.

Let us know.

hyundai x20 2.0cc 53liter fuel tank
honday city 1.5cc 42liter
peugeot 308 1.6cc 60 liter ( damn big....consume more petrol? ) --

Specifications wise, I think the Peugot 308 is really impressive plus its price is not that far from the new City unless if you opt for a turbo version. Exterior wise I leave it to individual choice, if resale value is not an issue then go for the 308.

It's a one-size-fits-all tank.

The turbo variant will consume more fuel.
