i plan to get 1.8MT cos it has 5 yrs warranty & rm5k discount. So total ~ RM73k.

after reading some of the scary stories and owing a proton aeroback back in 1998 (a lot of issues, esp the power window) - 1 have 2nd doubt in buying this car.

i know car manufacturers have issues, but when it comes to Proton, QC is always a big issues and cutting cost here/there.

my 2nd preference is a Mazda 3. I love the sporty look but it's ard RM104k - steep!!!!!!

so far the current inspira batch have lesser problem, but of course the QC still have a little bit defect here and there..

im trying to search for the nyek n kluk sound so far i havent heard it, trying hard to notify but aiseyman, no luck to hear. maybe because the car never press to 100km/h yet in my 515km city driving.. slow and steady..lol.

power window no problem, lifetime warranty..

one funny thing is, when i get the car, i reallly check a-z, inside out but 1 week later, bang, accident, my bumper got little scratch. so particular with QC at last get scratch ..

oh yeah RM 34000 can modded inspira to anything we like.. the unique trademarks.. thats why i bought it..

After 1 month + using Inspira, no problem. No annoying sound, good handling and speed (becareful kalau kena saman bcos if you don't focus, it exceeded speed limit). Petrol consumption averaging RM0.16+ per km (Ron 95 and almost same like my previous Pesona). My colleagues sitting in it said very comfortable. Y spend additional RM 30k or more and pay more instalment (kecuali gaji atau untung besar).

own inspira since end sept this yr... what i can say is I love it.... its a quantum leap for me who drive iswara and myvi before (still own iswara dah 11 thn without major prob yet) agree with you on good handling (selalu mesti tekan masa keluar hiway) during on the way to kl last week... kena cucuk by a group of 4-5 civic FD4... then i'm curious how fast this inspira can go....fastest 210++ kmh without any mod...still under control and confident....but not too long coz if something happen in that speed... kesian kat my relative sbb cannot recognize me and my family he he he...... fuel consumption i'm not remember how many km/l but what i can tell here... i refill full tank at petronas near sepang F1/lcct, way back to alor setar, back to my town in kulim then go to seberang jaya (around 600km+-) speed 120 - 130 kmh

Took delivery of a new Inspira 2.0P less than 2 months ago and due to my nown ignorance, only realised last Thu that the car boot was flooded with water. Really dissappointed. I thought that Proton has improved much over the last couple of years but I was wrong. If they cannot even do a proper job of copying from others, what else can they achieve?

Frankly speaking, I must give credit to their Proton's i.Care for their prompt reply and good customer service. Despite that, they claimed to have forwarded my case to the related departments and after one week, I'm still waiting for someone to contact me. This is the type of service that you can expect from Proton. Then, why bother to look good only on the outside (customer service)?

I have since made an appointment on my own to send my car to their Mutiara Damansara service centre this Thursday. I will provide another update after this service. If anyone of you are contemplating buying an Inspira, you may want to reconsider. It's really not worth the heartache and hassle of the never ending poor QC, and coupled with equally poor service.

mine is 2.0 cvt ... do you own inspira?... if yes, then regularly log into myeg to chk your lucky number (for speeding ) from pdrm he he he....

for forumer that his/her car flood feel sad for that ... mine i've chk but no prob yet, IMHO, how the water will flow thru should be no prob unless there is a hole somewhere.... my 2 cent

IMO, defect issues are not only contained to local-made car manufacturers only. I believe that cars from reputable manufacturers may have problems too, but the owners choose to resolve the issue silently between them & the SC.

Owned of a brand-new 'T' vehicle myself & I can say that their vehicle is also not 100% perfect.

true.... other forumer want to believe or not, my in law T-v (4 yr +-) oso window must push with hand when he want to close..... if not, window cannot close .... same as saga oso... why bashing P1

Water is seeping in from the undercarriage, when you go over a pool of water. When I first discovered the problem, I was puzzled as the board above the spare tyre was dry. I then used the water hose to spray the car and not even a single drop of water went in. I thought it was OK till yesterday when I drove the car under heavy downpour. Checked the boot area again and can see the water droplets seeping from the left corner between the plastic and body metal. This is due to poor QC. This is going to be my last Proton ever.

I bought a Waja about 10 years ago. Water seeping at the driver seat when you go over a pool of water. I sent the Waja back to Eon service for 4 times to have this problem rectified but they still couldn't resolved it. Sold off the car after less than 2 years and bought a Toyota Altis 1.6. Never had a problem with the car, despite having used it for 7.5 years. Recently, decided to change car again. I bought this Inspira mainly because the main components (engine and gear box) are from Mitsubishi and I was told that Proton has improved much over the last couple of years. Now, I really don't think so.

I want to check with other Inspira owners. Do you hear sounds coming from the undercarriage/suspension when going over uneven road? I do with my Inspira 2.0. Still new with the number plate WVY 6xxx.

If you have yet to decide on a Proton, would you want to take the chance?
