the headrest DVD usually can playDVDs and CDs, and allows the units to play more video games, such as you can hook up an Xbox or play station, and then you can play more games. Some ppl prefer the portable DVD, because it is easy to get in and out their cars. If you are an outdoor fanatic, it is very convenient.

Depends on you. One is portable, the other is fixed..... smile_tongue.gif

I think it actually depends more on you rather than on your child. Without considering your child, do you want to spend money on either a headrest DVD or portable DVD? Get either one if you would like one yourself.

Keeping kids entertained is a challenge. If you are not in a rush, perhaps you can detour to interesting places on your way to your destination. Or get interesting toys/books for your kid to occupy their time. Sometimes, you just have to resort to your BIG VOICE to maintain order in your car. smile_big.gif

How do you mount the portable DVD and mount where? I m sure you don't expect your kid to hold it.

PARENT problem! next time you will give them a moon to keep them entertain...

I believe your friend is a rich guy. To install DVD just because of a strip or he is looking for a reason to have one smile.gif
